There is an exploit a lot of people are using called ghanking that a lot of people are using to take out ORE mining barges that have NO way of defending theirselves with any kind of fitting, due to lack of power and cpu.

Please make these able to NICELY fit a large shield extender with all appropraite skills lvl 5. For a Tech II ship thats 200 million, like a hulk, its ridiculous for a character thats only been trained for a couple weeks to be able to take it out in one shot.

If you dont want to go that route of increasing power enough for a large, give it 5 medium slots and make it able to fit 2 medium shield extenders.

Avoiding suicide ganks in barges isn't terribly difficult. There not as common as they sound.

-Don't mine is populated systems, if you can avoid it. Find a quiet dead end somewhere.
-Try to mine in higher-security systems, if you can. CONCORD's responce times drop off drastically in a .5 compared to say a .9

also Hulkageddon is coming up again, try not to mine at all then, or refer to the first point.

Hope that helped.

Dock or warp to another point in the belt. I make multiple points in the belt and if i see a warp ship i warp to a moon and back to another point. In a few cases that war ship and a few others warped to where i was originaly at. more than less nothing else occured. If they do warp to your old spot i suggest docking,...strongly suggest it.

Now as most will aggree this is eve. we all die and we learn from each mistake. I lost a hyperion soon after buying it. My fault. I havnt made that same mistake again 3 years later.
