Corporate HQ versus Station Office

I've been reading Evelopedia trying to get a better grasp between Corporate HQ and a Station Office. When we first established a Corporate HQ, I was under the impression we had to maintain an Office in the same station. Now I'm not so sure renting an office is a requirement for establishing a Corporate HQ in th station.

I would much appreciate any words of wisdom to help clarify the relationship between Corporate HQ and a Station Office.

You can create a corporation in any station in EVE, this automatically makes that exact station your HQ and you do NOT need an office there at all if you don't want/need it

(hell, if you look at the amount of Jita 4-4 based corps that by FAR exceeds the number of offices available in that station).


However, if you ever want to move your HQ, you do need an office at the station you want to move the HQ too.
