and THAT would kill the game almost immediately, since new players could no longer enter the game.

Of course, that is not important to you, since you think James 315 and his 'Now Order' are so wonderful (proving yourself a fool).

that makes no sense. grr james 315

besides, the case is closed already. ramona said so.

As someone who has run afouled of the "New Order" multiple times (and handing them their heads many times), I happen to think James 315 is an idiot and his organization is full of thugs.

The New Order runs 'protection rackets' in .5 thru .7 systems already. This gives the new player some chance to learn EvE before encounting the New Order

Opening high sec would mean the New Order fools would be preying on players trying to learn about EvE (on trial accounts) earlier and even a higher percentage of those new players would quit without learning anything about the game.

Of course, New Order couldn't care less. They're just idiot thugs, anyway.

I am in the camp of those that says nerfing power projection is not a solution. Sov needs to be addressed to become less than a chore and more fun in term of game play, but this is another discussion.

So the big powers have unlocked the current Eve end game and this is fine. Like it has been stated before, this was still 10 years in the making and may last a few more months or years.
The solution is not to artificially nerf the current blocks, but let the in-game action run its course in the space they control

In the meantime, CCP should focus on different content ( and hopefully they already do)
They already have successfully introduced a new area of the universe with w-space, with mechanics that prevent the larger blocs to project their force efficiently there. At some point though even w-space will be conquered as it is just in the nature of things.. It may take two years, five or ten years but some group will figure it out...

So with rubicon, we are heading in new directions we don't know much about it, one of the exciting piece being player built star gates... Hopefully, his opens a new area for the in-game pioneers to explore and exploit before it will also at some point be settled and controlled by some powers... These are there that attention must be paid so that power projection does not make these new frontiers a piece of cake for existing powers...

CCP is hopefully looking way ahead of us, and hopefully new game design will allow pioneers and explorers to discover new territories faster and more efficiently than the current null sec powers. They kind of already have done that with w-space, so let's give them credit and time for this next stage..
In the meantime, life in new Eden is as it has been made by the players themselves...

I for one trust CCP and am impatiently waiting to discover more of what is beyond Rubicon....
