Ethnic Amarr clothing causing concern in Caille

With fashion remaining high on the interstellar news agenda, many Caille residents have expressed their concern over integration and assimilation of ethnic Amarr immigrants, particularly in the area of Caille sometimes called "Little Dam-Torsad", on account of the high proportion of residents of Amarr ancestry.

Traditional Amarr clothing styles being far more austere than modern Federation fashion, some residents have expressed concern over how well the ethnic Amarr are integrating into Federal society.

"They're always going to church, and are very secretive about it", said one Gallente hover-taxi driver.
"What about all those radical preachers? the ones that say all Gallente are immoral?", said an Intaki exotic dancer.
"When I see an Amarr woman, refusing to wear decent Gallente transparent plastiglass corsets, well, it makes me wonder what she's trying to hide, doesn't it?", said a Jin-Mei melon importer. "She could be carrying weapons under there"

Many ethnic Amarr residents responded angrily to these accusations.
"Our clothing is modest, in accordance with the Scriptures. It is our choice to wear such things", said one Amarr woman.
"Concealing weapons beneath our clothes? Are they insane? What do they suggest? That everyone walks around nude?", exclaimed an Udorian woman, walking a miniature slaver hound.

Meanwhile, many clothing designers are unconcerned about such arguments.
"I've made several designs, in an Amarr style, but with traditional Gallente materials, of skintight plastic. They're really popular", said one dressmaker.
"I like Amarr customers, they never refuse to pay for something because it's gone out of style between when they ordered it and when I completed it", said another clothesmaker.

As ever, Gutter Press will continue to cover these, and other stories of interstellar concern.

Transparent clothes and revealing outfits are indecent and filthy, they disgrace human dignity.
And this is why the Federation must be destroyed.

Eh. Typical Gallente cultural insensitivity and ignorance. How did this make news again?

A Minmatar warship is like a rusting Beetle with 500 horsepower Cardillac engines in the rear, armour plating bolted to chassis and a M2 Browning stuck on top.

I feel like the Gallente get a bad rap on this specific issue. They're not any more ignorant and insensitive about other cultures than the average Matari or Amarrian.

Well, maybe a little more ignorant.

For starters, as much as we hate the Amarr we do not raise eyebrows for their very thick robes nor do we decry it as 'they are hiding something.'

I'm not sure what the basis for this report is. As far as I recall, aren't the Federation the biggest importers of Amarr fashion?

I am rather happy it made into news.
Citizens should be reminded, how degraded and degenerated gallenteans are.

Transparent clothing is kinda pointless.

Just dispense with clothes altogether and go au natural.

Isn't the term 'Amarrian fashion' an oxymoron?

Freedom means being able to wear a burlap sack in public without reprisal.

Inclusion was once a Federation point of pride. Assimilation, on the other hand, is the watchword of the State.

Speaking of lacking dignity, is that a bowl cut? Your stylist did you no favors with that haircut....

Only if your idea of fashion is grungy vests and dirty pants one size too large. If you like elegance and finery then there's nothing better than Amarrian tailoring.

There are some good Amarr clothing lines, and there are those that overdo it to the point of gaudy tackiness, so don't throw stones.

I think Gallentean fashions give Amarr a run for their money in quality, but sometimes fall into the same overly gaudy trap.

Hell, even the Caldari tailors come up with some pretty sharp looking suits and uniforms, not that anyone will catch me wearing a suit, or a uniform, anytime soon. Still, may have to drop ISK on one sometime.

And Minmatar fashion may be 'grunge' and utilitarian, but it works.
