MINING MANUFACTURING MARKETING

The 3 Ms that make this show run are now being boycotted.
All miners, manufacturers and marketers cease your activities immediately.
Go mission. Mission. Mission. Mission.

When the gankers LEAVE, or CCP WAKES UP, we'll then resume putting
those all-important goods on the shelves for player consumption.

UNTIL THEN, we have standings to raise, security status to raise,
and we can live off what we get doing that OTHER M - MISSIONING.

The boycott is up. Join, or be the author of your own demise - aid the gankers ganking YOU.

The New Order is with you!

If we catch any non-permitted "scab" miners crossing the picket line we will destroy their spaceships and pods. Further, it has been decided that all loss notification mails will now include the phrase: "Serene Repose sends her regards"

I forwarded a copy of this thread to my contact at 3M Global Headquarters.

They'll be confused about why highsec hates them. They'll be more confused about what highsec actually is.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

OP, I think you'd have better luck manipulating the tritanium markert in all of eve than getting every miner to join in.

BUT, feel free to get as many idiots, err I mean indignant miners, to join in. I could use the price boost.

That is a briliant idea, op is clearly trying to help highsec. Line integrated into template with a link to this thread

This thread reminds me of an interesting topic I've discussed a few times, off-forum. Allow me to pontificate for a moment.

In EVE, there is a group of players who, for whatever reason, cannot PVP. Be it intense hatred of the concept, utter lack of skill and inability to learn, unable to handle the shakes, whatevs. The cannot PVP. Naturally, these groups gravitate towards the PVE content of mining and manufacturing.

This group also tends to make two huge assumptions. The first is that, because they can't PVP, other people engaging in PVE activities ALSO cannot PVP. This leads them to think that, as a group, they have more numbers than they really do. The second is that, because they cannot PVP, that the inverse is true...PVP players, for some reason, cannot engage in PVE activities.

Those two assumptions lead into the whole "You PVPers depends on us PVE people without us you couldn't do anything!" This is false. The vast majority of EVE players can do both PVP, and PVE activities, with the wonders of alts. PVE is actually easier, than PVP. All you need for PVE is skillpoints and a calculator, none of the "soft skills" required for PVP.

The way I see it, even if every "pure" PVE player went on strike tomorrow, there wouldn't be much, if any, effect on the EVE market. So many people have PVE alts of assorted types, that the tiny number of people boycotting just wouldn't do anything.

Now, lets make the huge assumption ourselves, that a boycott like this is successful. CCP has flat out said Player to Player conflict is the most important thing in EVE online. If things went to hell THAT badly, CCP would step in for the good of the game, and start NPC seeding. Way back when, in the beginnings of EVE, they did just that (how many folks here remember grinding out BIG SCORES of kernite with a Cu miner, to sell back to an NPC buy order?)

7.2 CAN I AVOID PVP COMPLETELY? No; there are no systems or locations in New Eden where PvP may be completely avoided. --Eve New Player Guide

This is so funny. "Cannot" pvp. Must be some genetic disorder. Not that GANKING ISN'T PVP, nooOOOOoo. WoW loves you. Hear them call? Go pound those defenseless noobs! Call it...PVP!

We must accommodate the idiocracy.

I think a marketing boycott would be a good example of "player created content" however, CCP shouldn't be involved with the exception of banning multiboxing.

If there was no multiboxing it would take a focused group of players to perform a suicide gank. A tight operation for a valuable target. Not this isoboxer crap we are seeing in 0.5

Wait... which gankers is this guy talking about?

I've been doing logistics work for my corp for like 6 months, never been ganked once.

Honestly, unless you're moving Trit, Pyerite, or whole ships, you pretty much don't need cargospace on your freighter. Fit some tank modules and avoid Aufay and Uedama. Literally, you can make it so your autopilot never goes into those systems.

Or you could...you know...NOT AUTOPILOT A FREIGHTER! Simple really...just have a corp mate insta warp you. Not too hard.

I know I won't.

De'Veldrin's Corollary (to Malcanis' Law): Any idea that seeks to limit the ability of a large nullsec bloc to do something in the name of allowing more small groups into sov null will inevitably make it that much harder for small groups to enter sov null.

Who are these gankers of whom you refer? Oh, you must mine in busy high sec systems close to trade hubs while failling to take even the most basic precautions. I've heard of this.
