WIS....when CCP?

Incarna was not WIS. It was walk in CQ. So we NEVER got WIS. Never got a chance to try WIS. Or even to complain about WIS.

So why was it scrapped?

And if WIS is dead...why do you keep putting avatar items in the NeX store?

It's on the bottom of the pile after everything else. Ask again in ten years or so.

It was never scrapped - it's still on the Soon™ pile.

Because people keep buying them - I mean was it that hard to figure out?

De'Veldrin's Corollary (to Malcanis' Law): Any idea that seeks to limit the ability of a large nullsec bloc to do something in the name of allowing more small groups into sov null will inevitably make it that much harder for small groups to enter sov null.

Has it really? Where? Where is the official Dev post on the future of WIS?

You cant complain about something that was never implemented.

Never. NES items are for max swag portraits.

I wear my goggles at night.

Pretty much as De'Veldrin said, it's been mothballed rather than scrapped. There are no plans to work on it's development "at this time". This can be garnered from reading all the related WiS threads and was confirmed to me by a Dev who took the time to answer when I asked him.

The reason we can still buy avatar stuff is because our avatars aren't just about 'WiS'.

Exactly.

Those things have to do with micro-transactions, and pay-to-win..not WIS.

That is my point...one has nothing to do with the other, but somehow they were piled in together as "Eve players dont want WIS."

Look, cutey, it's really easy.

The more we push everything around and about clone creation,
the more we push everything around avatar content.

So ... support my efforts, buy clothes, make CCP see the light.

DON'T create threads like these or waste your time in "discussion" threads
that are just bait for all the people who want WiS,
but can't even create a pretty looking avatar.

We don't need these people anyway.

The original walking in stations with low quality Avatars was a fantastic dream. Those trailers are what got everyone excited. If they gave us that, all of our computers would run it and we would all fall in love again with WIS. Even if it had early 2000 graphics.

What they screwed up was epic win... what we got instead was horrid and CCP as a company paid the price for it.

Now... the paying customer base deserves more then this topic to be constantly swept under the carpet like it never existed.

Some people are opposed to any in-game items that can be purchased with real currency (even if it's converted to AUR)

Others are opposed to items being sold via a shop in-game that will give an advantage (p2w).

Some of course don't care less.

I personally am against p2w items, however clothes and such items I couldn't care less about.

The reason people piled them together is that they were concerned that it might start out as just clothes etc, but eventually it would end up p2w.

EDIT: At one point they were thinking of selling ready made ships, so people were rightly concerned, even from a manufacturing stand point.

Yeah, I think CCP threw out the baby with the bathwater on that one.

I remember that video, it was awesome, we saw some neat concepts about it at fan fest 07 when I went. I was mad when they scrapped all that work for what we got.

To the op: people connect the 4 issues with incarnia together, because they all came together. if they had been separate, the hoopla would not of been as bad.

IMO the change in focus to fixing the core of the game is good. They will eventually touch incarnia, if the 3 games, 1 char, 1 account is true, they will HAVE to fix incarnia. as its the best way to link all together. But we will see

OMG Comet Mining idea!!! Comet Mining!
