I undocked as a rookie and took from a can marked "Free Stuff" on station, pretty much immediately. I guessed it was some sort of trap, was just curious. It was quite disappointing when no-one came to kill me. I pouted for a bit.

I occasional dump all my crap in a jet can outside newbe stations marked something like "OMG DONT YO DARE!" or "treasure" or something along those lines.

Well, worst decision I made so far was getting together with corpmates for a gatecamp. Since we were trying not to be carebears any longer, it made sense to try and fight back against a wardec.

Spent hours setting up our detail and countless others surrounding the system of our war targets. Got communications up, fit ships, organized, moved, whatever. About two hours went into setting this trap, which my friends were giving me a really hard time because I canceled RL plans for this. Hey, first PvP experience, gotta make the sacrifices right?

So we're set up on this gate...and out comes two enemy cruisers. We, by contrast, have about 14-16 ships. We have tacklers, DPS, tank, logi support, the whole nine yards. I was part of the ECM detail. I was in a Griffin, and was partnered with a few Blackbirds and a Scorpion.

So what normally happens when at least a dozen ships ambush just two? Not what you'd expect. The FC freaked out and bolted, apparently surprised that the enemy showed up at all. Out of the entire dozen+ ships, I was the only one to engage. I successfully jammed one target, the other shot and pretty much insta-killed me, and everyone else on our team just scattered, and the enemy continued with their business unimpeded. That's it. Nobody else on our team shot at them, webbed them, or even tried to lock onto them. A huge ambush, I was the only one to engage, and I was the only casualty.

I wasn't podded, lost a lot of isk, or anything like that. But it was hugely embarrassing - not the part where I got killed, but the part where I was part of a corp that pulled a stunt like that.
