Looking at their policies, most of the nullsec blocs see "making profits" as their source of fun and reason of existence in this game and plan their empire this way. In Providence the fun actually comes from what you do with your money.

As there is nothing to do with your money in most of nullsec right now, except better ratting ships or making even more profits, of course the other blocs will come to Provi on a daily basis. Its their chance to actually play this game that they otherwise turned into a renter wasteland.

Provi has been taken before and it turned in to wasteland where nothing happened and it will happen again if it is taken.
So the now current provi holders took arms and started conquering stuff that no one wanted and provi was once again in rightful hands.
This will happen again if provi is taken because no one rents a space under constant siege and provi has little to no moons that could provide any sizeable income and true sec is the worst of all regions.
Not to mention that since I left provi block 3 years ago there was a station in about every 5th system, now it looks like every system has a station and grinding those takes time, a lot of time.

You mean how you can manage to rat/mine etc in New Eden without being killed all the time by gankers?

Intel channels, defensive gatecamp and generally not being ********, same as in any part of New Eden.
If you're aware, paying attention and know what you're doing, there is very little an enemy fleet can do to catch you.
You see them coming from a miles away.

+ If you've got some people on, you can swap your ratting ship for a proper PvP ship and go meet them head on for a little fun.

I've always loved the idea of Providence, and the people I've talked to when I've visited on occasion have always been (well, mostly ;) ) helpful and polite. It was actually quite surprising compared to the other nullsec regions I've experienced. If I could retain an interest in PvP and politics for more than five minutes Provi is the place I'd like to call home.

But would I have to wear those silly robes?

shame, providence is the last populated region where true pvp can happen.

i just dont get it ,why do these 2 coalitions want to destroy the last place to have fun? all they can do is destroy communities - just look at drone regions. Several years ago - thriving community like provi today. Now - a wasteland with system after system empty of life. Only a few renters here and there. Pricks.

Man, you got this happy OP posting about their good experience and you have to come take a dump in their thread.

OP, I'm glad you found a home. It's hard for a lot of people in this game to find a good home. Good luck.

Thank you!! Yes I can say with pride I am glad I found a place to call home for sure. The corp. that I'm a member of are really good people and made me feel a part of the family and I have found quite a lot of resources with them as well. As far as the other detractors they just jealous because of my sharing a unique experience.

There are 4 flaws in your statement:

1. IF Providence was to be conquered, it would have happened weeks ago. Esoteria was steamrolled in about 2 weeks by a NC campaign.
2. Nulli Secunda has been fighting with providence alliances for about a month. Providence has been undocking fleet after fleet. All of them great fights. IF this was about sovereignty we would not go about it alone and Providence would have reserved its fleets for absolutely necessary combat (station timers).
3. If this would be about sovereignty, the CFC would have been there seeing if they could either block N3 or do it themselves.
4. Catch

The only "smudge" here is a NC station in the middle of providence. I don't know why that happened, but it can serve to prove my point. It could have been all of them.

To the OP; welcome to nullsec. You've selected a proper group of players to play EVE with. Proviblock is quite something these days. Send my regards to Corebloodbrothers when you see him.

Thank you for a warm welcome and I sure will if I'm in a fleet with himBig smileBig smileBig smileBig smileBig smileBig smile

The one stain on the whole Provibloc though is Volt..

They are unable to defend their gateway system from 5 guys >_> and do nothing but smack (there are a few exceptions)

Rote Kapelle have been in provi for a few months now after moving from syndicate and it's been a blast. It's one of the last few areas of the game where small gang PVP is available (just) and other alliances like nulli come for great fleet fights.

It's gonna be a real shame when it gets steamrolled by alliances dropping supers and head shooting FCs. When that happens I'll prolly go play star citizen or elite: dangerous

And yes you can all have my stuff.

CVA and Providence will undoubtedly fall again at some point in the future (it's inevitable for all who make their home in nullsec), but the most impressive thing about them is their tenacity and ability to bounce back. I have a lot of respect for CVA for their determination and grit; many lesser alliances have fallen apart after suffering less than these guys have had to over the years and they've never lost their vision of what they want their terriitory to be.

If CVA and the concept of a self-policing NRDS Providence (the two are almost synonymous to me at this point in the game since they've been associated with each other for so long) were ever to cease on the EVE narrative, it would be a huge loss to the game - even those who claim to hate them. Hopefully that won't be the case and they'll outlive the game itself.

Would not be surprised if N3 and CFC truced up to joint attack Provi and split the space so they can rent it out.
