Greetings, fellow Capsuleers!

There has been a lot of threads popping up here in Crime and Punishment in reference to the actions
of the CODE. alliance - and quite frankly, a lot of misinformation.

As the diplomatic contact of the CODE. alliance, I am here to address any concerns or questions
you may have. You may contact me at any time in game via private conversation or EVEmail.

You may not be aware of this, but the CODE. alliance has had a ship replacement program in
place for many months now. If you feel that you were targeted unjustly, all you need to do
is drop me a evemail with a link to your API verified lossmail and the details of the incident so
I can get a full inquiry into the incident started. If you feel we were unfair to you in any way,
or have issues with any specific member of the CODE. alliance, I am here to help you.

Also, as a open question and answer session - I will gadly answer any questions you may have
about the CODE. alliance or our actions right here in this thread. Please be aware that I have
a busy schedule, and the response may not be instant, but as long as it is a serious question
or concern I will reply to you. This is the place to ask serious questions about our long and rich
history of punishing criminals in the space owned by James 315.

Please, do not bother with abusive or half-hearted attempts to troll. You will receive no reply.

I hope this thread will provide a safe, friendly place for discussion. I am requesting that
any ISD members (and we love you guys for the hard work you do keeping the forums great!) keep
an eye on this thread and promptly remove any abusive or trolly comments.

So, how can I help you?

For a mere 100 million ISK I can fast track any claims through the SRP that CODE. offer.

Good initiative DJentropy Ovaert.

Question.
Hows does CODE. see miners who adhere to the Code for the most part, such as mining in a ship that is suitable for use in a hostile environment, actually being aware of their surroundings and not watching faptube, with the exception of not being a permit holder?

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Thank you, Jonah - and a excellent question.

Generally, we don't see them. If they are using a properly tanked mining ship, chances are our scouts will scan them and shift to a softer target that is likely at the same ice belt or in the same system. If they are aware of their surroundings, then when unknown players under -5 sec status enter system, they align and watch d-scan for obvious gankers and never are a target in the first place.

However, sometimes targets may not be that plentiful. I've been part of plenty of attacks on well tanked procurers, well tanked skiffs, etc. Once in a while we will just smash a bunch of Procurers and Skiffs just to remind them that even a well tanked mining barge is useless without a human paying attention to what's going down around them.

In general, we always recommend that everyone operating in high-sec holds a permit. When you think about it, at 10 million ISK a year - a permit is less then 23,000 ISK a day. If that 23k eats into anyone's bottom line, they may want to consider a new profession that brings in a touch more money :-)

tl;dr version - do it right, and chances are we'll never even notice you. But we might. So be safe and get a permit!

Do you think that CODE. would be more popular among the general population of highsec miners if it was marketed as a labour union?

Excellent question!

I think it's quite possible, and there's even some propaganda in the works to supply that kind of branding.

Yeah, that's exactly what I'm talking about. The current narative antagonises the entire group and creates the dynamic of them directly competing with the movement. Changing the focus to competing with non-union miners should in theory boost participation numbers and improve the disposition of the individual. You could probably even get them to build you some Catalysts for free each month if you sugarcoat it nicely.

Who is James 315 and how does he specifically own HS belts in The Forge? Also how does someone get a permit? Sounds a bit of a stupid excuse to blow up miners. Also it's so obvious when CODE. are going to gank... the same guy (loot collector in Caldari provisions) always comes into system chatting away in local. All people have to do is locator agent that guy to see where you are...

Does CODE. only recruit pilots who are handsome, clever, and invincible in PvP, or can any pilot acquire these qualities by pledging themselves to enforce the Code?

Keep it up CODE! I really like the work you've been doing. you've been making highsec a safer place for miners by providing them with permits for such a cheap price. I remember my alt getting ganked every month or so, I then bought a permit...since then I've yet to be ganked.

Well, DJ,

I am bothered. I know that I can count on CODE. enforcers to regulate the mining operations in HISEC, but what about other isk-faucetry actions like incursions or mission running?

These actions devalue the ISK, and drive prices up! I must ask, as the Savior of HISEC, why does James not protect the markets as well??

In a perfect HISEC society, one should have a permit to run missions, or incursions.

DJ, please help.
