Well, technically the only stuff that you need to import are moon minerals (or from these produced materials and components), which are not available in your own region. Everything else should come for your own home. You have outstanding belts, outstanding PI capabilities (you can even have 0% tax on that), moon minerals at your doorstep and soon even better stations to build stuff in. Except for components for T2 items and ships that need moon minerals from other areas of space, you can and should build everything you need in your own space and don't need to import nearly anything. The only thing that you need to import are, as mentioned, T2 materials and components originating from moon minerals, which are not available in your area (read region) of space. These can be bought in Jita, processed in High sec to finished T2 components and then moved over to your 00 in great quantities.

All in all, depending on your own local resources and cooperating with local resource producers (which limits your logistical efforts to your region or regions around your space) makes it so that you have a lot less logistical effort and always have your stuff at hand.

My ridicule, heavy criticism and general pale outlook about your or CCP's ideas is nothing but an encouragement to prove me wrong. Give it a try.
