I guess it takes an act of God to get a point across to some people. This wasn't intended as a "how would I fix the game if I were lead developer" thread. This was intended as a "if my game worked out the way I want to the T what would my position be in the EVE Universe, and what would the map - nature of the game be?" THREAD.

In other words, if no DONUT, WHAT?

Some of these dense posters have turned it into a thread belonging in the suggestion department, something I believe the OP never intended. I doubt anyone who can't tell the difference between the two would be allowed to be GOD.

TYVM Have a nice day.

We must accommodate the idiocracy.

Where to take EVE? I'll go with creative direction.

I'd take EVE to the same place it is...but I'd enforce stricter rules. Concord would have player agents who could "arrest" suicide gankers and stick them in "jail".

Think of how funny that would be....a suicide ganker loads up their glass cannon, kills a miner...Concord blows up their ship. They are now a wanted "felon" by Concord and an EVEmail gets sent to one of the player agents "detective" and its that agents job to track down said ganker and find them. Lets say they cornered them in a station, the agent can apply a "jail" function to them to where they can't leave the station for say, 24 hours on first offense, 48 hours on second offense and 72 hours for third offense and from then on, its 72 hours indefinitely every time.

I think that would be fun...because suicide gankers loooove to blow up miners, because there is no repercussions besides they're dinky ship gets blown up. You could have certain modules that would be better than officer grade for the "agents" like when they see their mark in local, they can alert Concord ships to not allow their ship/pod through the gate. If they dock up and you dock up...again, you can apply a "jail" function.

Also, the jail function would be neat if it jump-clone style transferred their character to a "jail" facility. The possibilities are endless. THAT would be an emergent style of gameplay. It would also reinforce the crime scene too...because there would be real in-game consequences.

It would be cool too if after a certain amount of time or skills to be trained...say, a year's worth of training as a "detective" they could be "bought" and that would add a whole new layer of gameplay to it.

The possibilities are endless like I said and it would be fun. It would give a legion of players who don't have a voice against gankers a voice. Gankers are babies, cowards and wimps who will glass cannon you and then run like hell to get out of there. They cower in stations and corners and tremble for 15 minutes until they're yellow or red tag goes away and then they refit their glass cannon and do it again and there are zero consequences.
