I think clothing and accessories should be previewed on our character...

could you enable all accessories in character customization, perhaps make not-owned items greyed but equip-able for preview? (and disallow the following portrait step with clothing equipped that we don't own).

surely that's a quick edit. it would increase the visibility and desire for accessories in the game. right from the start, even, since character clothing is something that has to be selected.

As it is, an accurate preview requires going on Singularity. Otherwise, you risk spending AUR or hundreds of millions of ISK to think "but it looked great on the mannequin."

We're not all made perfect like mannequins, you know. Our bodies are different.

After running through the scenario I realized it's one step closer to taking a picture in those clothes, which detracts from the exclusivity (?)

So in order to retain the sense that "this does not belong to you and you'd need to buy it to wear it" I think the dressing room function could be located in the NES. a button that takes you to what looks like character customization, but is simply all items enabled for preview, but without a "Next" button that you would see in the normal character customization, which leads to the portrait.

I realize the odds of implementation are slim as it becomes more complicated. at the least, the idea is being broadcast :-3
