I am wondering how much ISK per hour can you make from running sleeper sites in a C1 WH?

I have a small knowledge on WH's but just wondering, how do I find out what class WH it is? And what is the optimal ship to use for soloing sleepers?

Thanks and fly safe

IIRC (its a long time since I've ever run any C1-2 sites) its a bit difficult to give a figure for ISK per hour due to the fairly low basic loot/salvage value but a chance of higher value drops, if you get a good run of luck they can make quite a bit more than if you get a string of bad luck. Good run of luck and assuming an unlimited supply of sites and a half decent setup you can make somewhere around 100m/h in a C2.

Most people will use tools like staticmapper.com to check details of what a WH system is though most experienced people can tell by the skybox and/or the details of the wh they used to enter it.

There are plenty of websites that can tell you the class, but before you go jumping into a system trying to lay claim it might be a good idea to check the forum and http://wh.pasta.gg/ to see if you are pushing in on a hole someone owns. You'd be better off paying them rent for the hole than trying to, from their perspective, ninja in with a tower in which case they would evict you and might not be kind about it. Of course, that only applies if you intend to set up camp in a C1/C2, if you're just exploring then none of that really applies.

As for ISK/hr, it's going to be pretty low. For C1/C2 sites you will get most of your value from salvage materials as opposed to the "blue loot" that makes C4+ so profitable. In the old days that meant a compromising a PvE combat ship with a salvager and keeping the cargo fairly empty, in this day and age take a mobile depot with some tractors, salvagers, and multiple fits and you'll be fine. Even better is to work with a friend or 3 and go for speed. If you have multiple people, a hole watcher who gets a full cut of loot is also a very good thing.

As for optimal ship, that all depends on your skills, training, and what you're comfortable with. A regular Drake is more than capable of soloing C2 sites, it's not very fast at it but the Sleepers shouldn't be a problem for it. Drone boats might not be best because Sleepers shift aggro randomly, even to drones, so a ship based weapon system will be more durable. Any T3 will be more than adequate as well.

I would also advise doing a little bit of boring research and learning how wormholes work, and the differences from K space. Like mass limits and timers on wormholes, those can crash and leave you stuck in an empty hole with no way out but the pod express if you happen to not have probes. Or you lose your probes. Or your ship gets blown up by Sleepers, you get away in your pod but your Hi Sec BM just takes you to an empty place in space because the hole crashed. The hard way will make sure you don't forget those lessons, but learning the easy way will make it more enjoyable when you do make the jump into J space.
