Factional Warfare mechanics questions

Hi! I've been researching Factional Warfare (FW), and I've got a few questions about the mechanics that I couldn't answer from playing in-game or Google - so I would appreciate any enlightenment! Idea

  1. I know that you can "upgrade" systems in FW by donating LP at the system's i-Hub into the system's LP pool. I also know that the amount of LP in the pool is decreased by enemy activity in the system (eg Amarr militia capturing plexes in a Minmatar-held system). However, what I'm less clear about is:

    • It it just plexing which reduces the LP in the upgrade pool, or also other LP-generating activities (ie mission-running and PvP)?
    • What happens to the system upgrades when a system is captured by the other faction? If, for instance, a Gallente level 3 system is captured by the Caldari, does it become a Caldari level 3 system, or does it start at level 1? And if the Gallente then take it back, will it start again at level 1, or revert to being at level 3?

  • The main benefit of having a high war zone tier (which is derived from the number of systems a faction controls, and their upgrade levels) is a massive bonus to LP earned.

    • This bonus definitely applies to plexing and running missions. Does it also increase the amount of LP earned from PvP?
    • Are there any other benefits (other than the LP bonus)?

  • I've been trying to figure out how tough it's to destroy a system's i-Hub (to capture the system once it's vulnerable). The best source for its stats is an old data dump, but the more recent static data dumps no longer include stats for the i-Hub. Can anyone confirm whether those numbers are still accurate?
  • Also, is there an LP reward and standings change for destroying an i-Hub (and if so, how much?)

  • Lastly, the plexes in FW space have names like "outpost" and "facility" (in addition to their size, e.g. "novice", "medium"). Is there any difference between "outposts" and "complexes" (I haven't found any), or are the differences merely cosmetic?

  • Thank you very much in advance for any help!

    1. Plexing is the only thing that lowers the pool, butthe number of VP earned from completing the plex. If the system is captured, the system level is reset to zero.

    2. AFAIK, pvp LP is notaltered by tier levels. https://community.eveonline.com/news/dev-blogs/28659. THere is no other benefit to high warzone control levels other than increased LP for plexing and missions.

    3. Not sure, but it takes 5 dreads doing 10,000 dps a single siege cycle to kill the ihub.

    4. There is an LP payout for killing the ihub, but it is extremely small.

    5. This information is prior to the latest June patch. "Outposts" were plexes that respawned 30 minutes after closing them and they always spawned in the same system(novice, small, and medium). All the other types of plexes are spawned at downtime. When they are closed, they will attempt to respawn somewhere in the warzone (I believe the same constellation, but am not sure). These plexes are fixed to a given faction. If the plex is a Caldari plex and it attempts to spawn in a Gallente sov system, it becomes"stuck" and will be blocked from respawning until the next downtime. This means that you tend to see lots of these plexes early in the day but later in the day they are almost non-existent as most of them have become stuck.

ate my effin post so here it is short and sweet

1 Yes plexing reduces the bunkers upgrade pool
2 All captured systems start at level 0
3 yes tier level increases pvp payout. However it was abused and all kills are limited to 50000 LP payout regardless of how much isk is on the ship. which is way to frakkin low when you kill somebody in slave set pod and you expect to get like 150000 LP but instead stuck with some poor excuse for a payout.
4 No other benefits except high moral and farmers on your side and newbie pilots joining in swarms.
5 bunkers are about the size of a POCO from what i remember only a little bit more. (just looked at your link and that looks right)
6 Destroying a bunker is most similar to capturing a current large outpost. standings/LP (somebody else probably can say for sure)
7 There used to be loads of differences between. Now outpost respawns every 30 minutes, the non outposts respawn at downtime and also use old mechanics with a chance to respawn instantly in the same constellation in the same occupancy, but those have been significantly slowed down, so you only really encounter them at downtime.

covering a few holes in the prior posts... but maybe i just cant read

    anyways,

when a system is upgraded, there are reduced costs to market orders as well -> brokers fees and transaction taxes are less, level 5 reduces them by 50%

in t1, an ihub gives out 20k lp when destroyed (not sure if it scales in tier though), which is divided between everyone who shoots the ihub. also, in the case of a hostile takeover of a system, system level is always reset to 0.
