Afterburner have a duration of 10 Sec and there is no skill that lowers it. Only problem now seems that when I fit a medium Afterburner on a Epithal i get 8 Sec. I was about to make it 12 Second with an engine thermal shielding but it raised to 9.60 s. Something isn't right here.

Also when hovering the mouse over the module in ship fitting it says 172.50 m/s but in module info it says 177.18 etc..

Pretty sure the afterburner skill reduce cap usage and cycle time on ABs.

The AB-skill itself lowers cycle time by 5%/level.
It was a change most delightfully appreciated by anyone flying a 100mn cruiser at the time (cause old ABs cycled for 15s with FC V, and 100mn doesn't really turn/realign while that prop is running)

Pretty much this. If you read the text on the Afterburner skill you would see it reads " 5% reduction to Afterburner duration and..."

This was changed quite some time back.

ok ty for the answers. Never reflected that it reduced duration. I can see the point with 100mn n cruisers.

The module info shows a more exact number, in fitting etc it rounds for simplicity...
