I'm currently working on a small eve related piece in dycrilic glass. I'm not going to say what its suppose to be, would like people to try and id it. Its not done yet, as i had a family issue that put it on hold, and it is a prototype so i need to see how this one turns out, might do more, but lets see if you all can figure out what it is, and if you like it:

yea I fired it last night, was too hot this morning to take pics, should be good when I get home. Went a tad bit over board on glow in the dark 'stars' me thinks, but it is a prototype so we will see, i'll post many pics when I get home.

I used to be into mirror etching/sandblasting. Was thinking of an Eve related project too. Cant wait to see how yours turns out.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

I love things like this. Just wish i was handy.

Easy to tell it's a Nyx, not really interested in the project. Call me Simon Cowell, but I think it looks like a child's etching with a charcoal pencil in cat barf.

Well if the finished project has more development, then color me intrigued. I do like glass. I'll be back to have a look. :)

naw its actually fine. I did not like the color I chose for the back myself, I actually had a purplish blue that match the nebula of eve better, but it was too dark for me to trace out the layout. So I went with the orange. It should lighten up, and the engine trails I added later should look alright. I'm mostly worried about the glow in the dark glass I added for 'stars' as when I glanced this morning (damn piece was still around 500 degree f) the stars expanded too much, but meh we will see. I'll do another in better colors that I might mount and make a plate. Also gonna ask for other ship ideas to try. Might make some for people, idk yet. As I said just playing around and wanted to share.

More pictures once I get off work

White out pen for outlining on a darker surface maybe...or something of the sort.

I am interested in the outcome as well and any criticism by me has already been mentioned by the OP and Reaver.

No my point is , it's too early to criticise, if anyone had words about a piece of mine at that early a stage I'd have (insert isd blush worthy content here).

I know you tabled it for discussion but ffs you get to finish the work before the neigh saying is warranted.

In Reaver's defense Reaper asked if people liked what they saw, which is an open invitation for criticism no matter the stage (which you acknowledge in your last sentence). If you are not ready for criticism do not open your art up for viewing. This seems to me to be a basic concept for an artist. Reaper was clearly ready for the criticism which is apparent from his response.

I have seen some of your work here Ralph and I would probably have to backhand anyone that said it looked like garbage and I doubt that opinion would change in the early stages of your work either. I like your stuff!

I'm not familiar with the style he's working on but he asked for comments and I gave mine. I'll change it when I see more, of course.
