I have a lot of games but I don't play very many. After 35+ years of gaming I'm actually getting tired of it. Gettin' bored with the pixels. Then I realized life is like a game too... then realized how much everything sucks.

Sometimes it is hard to even log into EvE... then I joined RvB!!!!!! Big smile I've had more fun in less than a week than I have in years.

Outside of EvE I play Kerbal Space Program at the moment. That is all.

EVE
battlefield 3
titanfall
warframe

sometimes others, but those are the main ones.

In a few moments you will have an experience that will seem completely real. It will be the result of your subconscious fears transformed to your conscious awareness.

Pretty much nothing besides EVE right now.
I played Age of Wonders III for a few weeks, but it got boring fast.

I'd like to apologize for the poor quality of the post above and sincerely hope you didn't waste your time reading it. Yes, I do feel bad about it.

MMO: Guild Wars 2. I've been in the guild 'Love and War [LAW]' shortly after joining (about 2 weeks before Sandy hit), and moved with them to Blackgate server. I'm currently re-subbed here while the game is 'resting' between release cycles; An active chunk of the guild is investigating WildStar, but I always said I'd come back here first if I'm encouraged to go back to a subscription game. Cool I will probably go back there once things start up again, as I prefer its more casual nature and being FTP.

Previous MMOs: Myst Online (2004-2008), Second Life (2004-2008, though technically I can still login), There.com (yes its active - I keep a subscription running to support competitors to SL, but don't really login).

Other games I dabble in: Skyrim (Legendary edition, very few mods), KSP (very lightly), Bejeweled Twist (only Skyrim has more hours than this one), Pinball FX2 (only 2-3 tables bought), Minecraft (it got shelved until 1.8 is available - my RNG luck is horrible, so the ability to tweak resources on spawn will help), Viscera Cleanup Detail.

Games on the to-do list: Thief Gold (yes the original), Metro 2033/Last Light (when the Redux versions come out), RealMyst Masterpiece Edition, Fallout 3 and/or New Vegas, The Golf Club (long story behind this, related to something I used to do inSL). And if the original Doctor Who pinball ever gets re-done as an 'virtual' table, that will be bought instantly. Big smile

Games not yet out yet but interested: Obduction (Cyan - unfortunately I missed their kickstarter).

Other interests: following twitch streamers and YT lets plays. One streamer/LP'er in particular is responsible for almost the entire to-do list. Evil

"The Meta Game does not stop at the game. Ever."

Currently Retired / Semi-Casual (pending changes to RL concerns).

LOTRO, forever LOTRO, lifetimer there, and despite what people say it´s one of those few mmos where you can always return to to wander and get lost, just a couple days ago I finished a deed in Goblintown where you have to gather all of Bilbo´s buttons Big smile , who cares if stuff is grey or not challenging.

Playing LOTRO like any other MMO will only show it as an ages old, badly written piece of software with strange and haphazardly placed combat and gear systems. Meh, even one of the store bestsellers is a device that blocks you from gaining xp which I have on some of my alts, playing lotro otherwise is just a trip to madness and boredom, but then again, I know I´m one of those strange people that prowl the virtual alleys

I also enjoy in a recurring binge of

EQ1
X3:TC
Smugglers 5 (silly game is actually quite addicting, despite its utter simplicity)
Defiance
Starbound
Warband (there´s always tons of mods to try out)
F-117A

I am perhaps a dinosaur of gaming, but modern gaming is tasteless to me. No flavor besides the initial shock of the first bites, no story, no compelling background, just an endless drive to endgame/cap/finish line.

Nothing to stop you in the in between , to smell the virtual air, to admire the impossible, no moving nebulas just stills that are quickly discarded once the new level starts.

I will die like this, too old to change.

Even EVE sometimes reeks of this "modern" approach, but thanks goodness for the people trying to maintain this alive.

I sometimes dream of a "new" Old style series of SSI Golden Box series, and I lately re-started for the fun space combat mechanic Buck Rogers: Countdown to Doomsday.

Don't play a whole lot besides EVE, really.
Warframe
Rome Total War

Warframe has turned out to be surprisingly good, was into planetside2 for awhile. Both FTP FPS but the P2W aspects of both aren't too annoying, surprisingly... Rome Total War is good. I Have tried out a few Steam games recently, but sadly I just don't have the gaming time (without cutting into EVE - and that will just not do :D ) to do them justice. Space Engineers seemed good, and I'll check out the Forest when they make it have co-op survival mode. Fortunately I have a friend who plays a lot of different games and knows what interests me, so that's kind of like having a personal game reviewer. Handy. Was only wrong once...Star Trek Online. I'm quite a fan of Star Trek, but didn't care for that game...maybe I didn't give it enough chance, dunno...

Way back in the day I was really into dice-paper-table games such as Starfleet Battles, D & D, and Traveller (\o/). Then that pesky RL butted in and I didn't do any gaming-related anything for many moons. Then I discovered Warhammer40k....oh my....like crack, addictive and expensive...Orks and Tyranid ftw! Played starcraft, halo and star wars battlefront I / II on console / PC

Then a buddy introduced me to this online game called EVE he had been playing for years but that I hadn't payed attention to.

...and here I am, gladly. He doesn't play EVE anymore, but I really like it and figure I'll probably stick around a while.

So back on topic -
Besides EVE:
Warframe.
