cannot download and install client

I've downloaded the client from the website, I cannot get it to install, I get eve online error, when i open the console it says:


6/6/14 6:53:32.732 PM CoreServicesUIAgent[11600]: Error: qtn_file_apply_to_path error: Read-only file system

6/6/14 6:53:39.722 PM launcher[11598]: EVE Online Error

6/6/14 6:53:54.977 PM com.apple.launchd.peruser.501[151]: ([0x0-0x721721].com.ccpgames.eveonline[11598]) Exited with code: 255


I'm running osx 10.9.3

Very Frustrated, why can't i download it from the site and install it?

I am at a friend's place right now. Been talking about EVE all day to him and convinced him to try it out. But he uses a Mac and has exactly the same problem you're having and runs the exact same version of OS X.

First it was the damaged image thing which was solved via finder, but I have not had any lucky finding a solution for this "EVE Online Error" message.

Any help would really be appreciated.

same issue brought a new mac pro home today and getting the damage image as well. I've tried downloading 4 times and no go. Somethings wrong with the download

I solved the damaged image with a suggestion posted in a sticky thread right here. Look it up and I think you might be able to solve this.

Have not gotten past the "Eve Online Error" message though. Frustrating...
