Pilot Ramona,

I like to draw your attention for a moment please. What we are dealing with is real people who worked on a project that would either made it or flounder and sink. This is reality, this is in no way a troll thread and I hate to say but you need to step in their shoes for a moment and realize things comes to an end when we don't expect it. If I stepped on your toes too hard I apologize.Big smileBig smileBig smileBig smileBig smile

I dont understand what any of what you have said has to do with the OP

Dear OP,
In the same way that a healthy person with a peaceful mind is invisible to psychology and seen as insipid to the carnival of vanity that passes for human life, so your concerns about the corrosive effect of concentrated horror as entertainment will be a non-starter.
Take heart though, most people interested in this sort of thing are intelligent, bland suburbanites. The small amount of sick people attracted will always find something to focus their pathology on and are never indicative of the wider audience*.
EvE already ticks all the boxes WoD had anyway, immortal elite powerful demigods vying for dominance under endless night, yep sounds like Placid FW lowsec to me.

* Except Slipknot fans, i wouldn't use that crowd to fertilise my lawn.

Was that before Incarna? I do not have insider knowledge, so this is indeed speculation from my part.
Thanks for the insight!

They were used for Apocrypha, and possibly another expansion. However the basis for Incarna development was primarily done by WoD staff.

I completely disagree with your moralizing on this topic. There are those of us who have been playing Vampires and Werewolves since V:TM was created, and we lead perfectly normal, well adjusted lives in the real world.

As for CCP dropping it, I'm extremely disappointed in that aspect. I did NOT believe in Incarna in any shape or form. I DID wish and hope for the WoD MMO as a way to continue my WoD adventures with friends and family that I can't play pen and paper with anymore.

Incarna bad.

WoD good.

I wish killing one hadn't meant killing the other.

You do know that vampires are just make-believe, right?

That attempting to categorize an attempted game about vampires as being endemic of the gradual acceptance of a sexually deviant and abhorrent behavior is beyond asinine.

Id eat all the miner corpses, but I don't want to die of Entitlement poisoning.

Yeah, but all that posterior rage stored in there would go straight to my thighs.

Incarna could have been ( I am purely speculating here) a result of CCP needing 3d animated characters for a world that was humano-vampiro centric...
I do not know if the concept of incarna would have been pursued on its own if there was not a potential use for it with WOD.
If this was the case, they probably judged at the time that the synergy was viable, without forecasting the EVE player base's reaction to this.

EVE is a game where you can kill your fellow man, scoop up his corpse and store it in your hangar like a trophy forever. There are players that actively collect corpses and some who wish for WiS so they have a place to prominently display them for all to see.

We used to have highly suggestive content in the form of the 'Quafe girl' in the Gallente pleasure hub. We have in-game items in the form of prostitutes, exotic dancers, slaves, etc.

Lore goes on to say that on Gallentean occupied worlds nudity is quite common and very much accepted into society. We have lore articles that are in-depth enough to describe the various methods of torture each faction has at its disposal. Go read some Blood Raiders or Sansha's Nation or Amarrian lore.

Your argument is invalid.

Have you had your daily dose of Quafe?

Back in 2007, CCP had a very clear concept of what Ambulation would be and what it would bring to EVE in 2008. Then they changed their minds and what followed was 3 years of agonyzing development that led to Incarna.

Q: Should we be worried? A: Nope. (...) Worry a lot if Fozzie, Masterplan, Rise, Veritas, Bettik, Ytterbium, Scarpia, Arrow, or even Greyscale leaves. Worry a little if Punkturis, karkur, SoniClover, Affinity, Goliath, or Xhagen leaves.
