Former F-16 tech. Now a disabled US Air Force vet.

I have a degree in computer programming which I don't use. (I know COBOL if you can believe it)

I like Pina Coladas, and getting caught in the rain...

Pretty much retired these days.

Was an animation student(mature), I'm a stay at home dad for now(absolutely no regrets, most fulfilling thing I have and likely ever will do), though they're nearly at the point where I can start studying again.

it's probably because you get people saying "it's broken and won't work" even though the dialogue box tells them exactly what the issue is.

Working in IT really does make you hate people, though.

I never thought about it like that but I realize now I was a lot less misanthropic before I became a help desk technician.

Anyway, now I'm a J2EE developer, and part time benevolent dictator. But what i really want to do is strut.

De'Veldrin's Corollary (to Malcanis' Law): Any idea that seeks to limit the ability of a large nullsec bloc to do something in the name of allowing more small groups into sov null will inevitably make it that much harder for small groups to enter sov null.

my favourite example was as follows;

"Dave my laptop just died"
"what do you mean it just died?"
"well it gave me a low battery warning about 15 mins ago, and now there's just a black screen"
"did you put it on your docking station to charge while you were working?"
"no."

there are some kinds of people you want to help by simply putting them out of everyone else's misery.

Biologist by training (plant genetics and evolution).

Now on a nice and quiet permanent position as head of labs for a bunch of physicists, trying every day to make them NOT kill themselves when they do chem or bio experiments.

Research was fun while it lasted. But with two little children those 60-70 hour weeks do not appeal anymore...

Ooh, resume time?

I've been an industrial programmer (PLCs), PC support person, manager, small business owner, VB programmer, web programmer and database programmer for universities and companies large and small. Currently I work for a global medical device company.

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

Seems like I am misanthrope too.

All those years I just thought I simply hate people.
