why are people talking about nano plating? it sucks.
inertia stabilisers though are awesome.
Massive reduction in my daily hauling times.
Long live the freighter buff and bring the new warp speed lows to market asap.

For years we told people the frieghters would be nerfed if CCP gave in to their demands for low or rig slots. You people nerfed yourselves and now us gankers get to have our fun while singing "told you so".

I'm surprised there wasn't an enormous thread with lots of dev posts about this a few weeks ago.

Just one fact:

An Ark - fitted for tank - can now gain upwards of 700k EHP. Gank that, I dare you.

Try Ark + 3x A-type ANP + High Grade Slaves + 8% armor implant (slot 10)..

Gives a bit over 1 MILLION EHP.

Um, what am I missing here?

When I look at at the Obelisk with pyfa 1.1.22 (pre-Kronos), it shows it as having 201k ehp.

When I fire up the new pyfa (1.2), it shows the Obelisk with 236k ehp, without any lowslot modules fitted.

Is this a bug in pyfa, or did they actually buff the base ehp of the Obelisk?

So add a low slot mod with no cpu usage that gives shield resists and add a set of implants for shields that work like slaves and presto balance can be restored Shocked

LOL. This would be hillarious. Let's break the game for every other class of ship just so our non-combat frieghters in our combat-oriented game can be a little more balanced.

Yeah I dont think so

Couldn't two of the freighters get a couple midslots and a low? With 3 PG and a small amount of CPU I wouldn't see an issue that could pop up.

If you have the CPU for an invulnerability field you can fit a DCU II instead. And a DCU II would be OP on any freighter. Without CPU midslots are rather pointless.

As I'm hauling 1.2mil plus m3 of ore I feel horribly nerfed compared to my previous 900kish m3 of ore. Also slapping on dirt cheap tank when I want it, awesome. Please CCP keep nerfing my ships this way!

Yawn,  I'm right as usual. The predictability kinda gets boring really.

Why can't I fit a DCU to my freighter? I guess I didn't study hard enough, but I thought the point of putting low on freighters was to make them more flexible, not nerf the heck out of them. To get may cargo space back to where it is, I have to destroy my tank. To get my tank close to where it was, I have to nerf the hell out of my cargo.

They couldn't make it so I could use the slots to get back to where I was? Because, you know, just like my car, I wake up up one day and suddenly the trunk won't hold as much and all the metal magically became plastic.

Having trouble with the concept. Probably get flamed, but can someone explain why freighters now have low slots yet can't can't fit a DCU?

Thanks.

No. Your car got retrofit for more cargo space, so they had to use lighter flimsier metal, now it holds more but takes damage easier. Or you added armor plates to it and now it holds less.

Logic =/= magic.

internet spaceships

are serious business sir.

and don't forget it
