First off, can anyone link a definitive guide to kill rights?

Secondly, if you have active kill rights on someone are you able to attack them and blow them up regardless of ship and location?

1. What're you looking for specifically?

2. Sort of. You first have to "activate" the killright. It'll then set the target as suspect for 15 minutes. You can then proceed to apply damage until their ship pops. Assuming you've got capabilities to catch it, the pod is fair game too (because suspect timer).

They will NOT get a killright on you, because they were suspect at the time.

Note, this only really matters if the other guy is:

1. in hisec
2. -9.99 or higher sec status.

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

So if I have an active kill right that is available to my corp (it is my kill right but I activated to my corp), would I need to do anything to reactivate it or would I just go blow him up?

If I need to reactivate this there should be something that says "KILL RIGHT NOT ACTIVE DON'T FIRE".

If I can just go blow him up, then I should go talk to CCP about getting my stuff back...

When you see your target on grid, in selected items window you'll see a crosshair icon - click this and it will open an option to activate killright and a short note of how much it would eventually cost to do so (if owner of said kill right have set it to an isk barrier).

Once it is activated the target will turn suspect for anyone to engage.

To see Kill Rights in your overview, you need to add it in overview options. Note that for you to see a kill right you still need to have selected the target or seen it and then had session timer. Or something... it's a bit funky.

Get on Comms, or die typing.

Thanks for the responses!

My last question/s is this:

I now have kill rights active on my character from an npc corporation. Is anyone apart of that npc corp able to take part in the kill rights and if it is activated to fight for the kill rights, will my kill rights go away afterwards or would I need to wait for the full countdown of 20+ days?

The kill rights are initially given to the person who was wronged. They can open those kill rights to anyone they want. You will receive a mail if the access to the kill rights is changed. As long as you haven't received a mail, the character that was wronged is the only one that can activate the kill right. Once the kill right is activated, you will go suspect. This will allow anyone in the vicinity to attack you. Opening the kill rights to others allows them to give you a suspect flag. Once you go suspect, everyone can attack you.

If the kill rights are activated and you don't die, they still retain the kill right after the fighting is over. The character must be killed in order for the kill rights to go away.

Suspect does not give you kill rights.

Going GCC against somebody gives that person a Killright. Not going suspect.
