Trolling someone who asks a serious question. Just wow. If you have nothing constructive or nice to say, dont post.

asking a serious question? sounded more like an unreasonable demand to me.

I have drone interfacing to 5 on 11 characters.
I am fine with the changes.

Whine moar.

Ahh yes, because if you don't like a topic that someone brings up, or don't even fully pay attention to what was said, it immediately becomes less important and inferior to your own ideas and thus deserves your bashing and failed tear collection.

Good day gentlemen, once again youve greeted someone trying to generate a civilized conversation about something worthy of discussion with satire, demeaning remarks, bigotry, and worst of all verbal attacks. You really fail.

I dunno when you finished this skill but until Kronos you had a significant advantage over other non-Vs thats your reward for beeing the early bird.

Edit: The real losers are those who have to skill an long skill for less bonus imho.

Also, I cant even fly a supercarrier let alone a carrier, but the idea that a supercarier not being super is jut plain stupid. I'm sorry, but a supercarrier that can only deploy 10 fighter-bombers is just pathetic.

No its inline with the other underwhelming Weaponsystems...

BTW, your Drones get stronger so you still have the same stats before Drone Interfacing V so i dont see the problems.

Point is, if i spent 20+ days training a skill and they reduce the time needed to train it after its been trained( as i doubt an extra 10% damage would justify 20 days of skill training, 7-12 max.) then I do have a reason to be upset. That sp couldve went to something else.

Lessee here...

"Properly Specc'd" character (i.e. Per/Will, +5s) for a Rank 5 skill is 17 days. For gunnery (i.e. "Medium [Type] Specialization"), this is a 2% raw damage boost for the guns. For Drone Interfacing, it's 10% (well, post patch -- the other 50% is being rolled into the drones base stats -- this is why the Gecko is so damn OP right now).

Would be 24 days with a base stats / no implants character.

Yup, it's perfectly fine.

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

Honestly, what do you expect when you come to the forums with a thread title demanding a SP refund because *entitlement*

They stated a while ago that they wanted to start eliminating skills that are mandatory for 90% of ships.

Consider if engineering gave you +50% PG per level; everyone would absolutely need that skill to level 5. In fact they couldnt be competitive without it, and that would be bad game design because you wouldnt be making a choice, you'd be just doing something that you needed to do in order to compete.

Drone interfacing was kinda that way where you basically had to have that skill to 5 or GTFO, and you recognized this (which is why you trained it to level 5). They're being nice and not just nerfing the skill outright, but they're keeping your power level right where it is now. if you no longer got the bonus from the skill I could see your complaint, but that isnt the case.

You say your doing things to make eve more friendly to new player, but in general your not. I dont see how making what was originally one skill into 2 or more is new player friendly..

it is, because it's increasing the dps of untrained drones (you know, new players who haven't trained many drone skills) while not raising the highest bar (that of veterans with "max" skills).
the gap between untrained, and trained drone dps has narrowed without creating a power creep.

it might be wise to stop, think, then post in the future.

Oh so wait, newbies have to train skills to do moar damage? Who'da thunk it.

i see you missed the point spectacularly.
unsurprising.

I can't find the devblog now, but I don't remember them saying they were going to reduce the Tier level of the skill.

Are you just making an assumption that the Tier level will come down, because it is no longer as beneficial to train (per level) as before? That doesn't sound reasonable to me, if a skill needed 26 days to train that was because you needed to train 1.5M SP (or whatever) in that skill. If the time comes down, that is because the Tier has come down and with it the amount of SP needed.

I'm quite certain that isn't happening, but I can't find the Devblog to confirm. However, if people are going to be left with an excess of SP trained, that would be refunded. It would be ridiculous to have on your skills sheet a skill showing "1.5M SP Trained of max 900K SP"
