Not heard much recently, but I assume module tericide is still in the pipeline.

If the module tericide goes along the same basic premise as used for ships, that is to give each a role, so much as just better numbers all around.

So will we see something like meta 1 will be longer range, but other wise the same as meta 0, meta 2 will have higher rate of fire, but other wise be the same as meta 0. And perhaps not till meta 5 (tech 2) will multiple stats improve?

If this is what happens, what attributes would be most prized for different types of modules? Would we expect damage to be more prized than tracking, rate of fire more prized than explosion velocity? etc.

Of course the module tericide change could be something altogether different, like 0-4 items being scripted and just doing away with the very notion of 0-4.

i never heard of a module tiercide... probably a mild rebalance since there are a few meta modules that are either Far superior to t2 (webs for example) and some that are just plain terrible (all the plate and shield extender variants that are not Regolith or tungsten.)

they did mention that they wanted meta to matter again, specially on guns. not sure what they meant by that, probably releasing T2 ammo from the T2 weapon constraint. that would be great since weapon systems like lasers and blasters are useless unless they are T2, it would also make Faction guns usable.

You obviously missed the fanfest presentation. They are making it so each meta module has a particular strength relevant to that type, rather than being across the board better or worse.

Should be noted, some will probably just be done away with. Not everything lends itself to different varieties.

I'm sure they'll find a way to bash it in.
