Hi folks, looking on paper (EFT, Pyfa) the navy geddon is far superior to the Navpoc.

Why do people not run then in VGs at least? Even without a tracking bonus it can still track the frigs when they are webbed down and it puts the Navpocs DPS to shame and is potentially the most DPS heavy ship for incursions, with the exception of vindicators (other mega hulls lose out DPS wise at 14KM with 2 optimal range scripts, less if they run tracking scripts.)

Also why do people hate on armor incursions when you can run a T2 burst aerator/ 3 DPS mods and put out more DPS than a shield tanking incursion fit running 4 DPS enhancers?

Edit: also why do people not fit TPs onto their ships for incursions considering they are a TC for everyone shooting the same target?

But not as much as the shiny shield communities that run t2 burst aerator and 4 DPS mods. Also, the differences in how reps cycle and rep amounts make shields better in larger sites, even discounting the differences in resists between EANMs and invulns.

Some communities do. BUT, as you say, its a bonus to everyone shooting that target. If you bring more things that help everyone, these are wasted in contests.

So, some EFTing later, I also have some interesting things about your proclamation about geddon being best ship for DPS other than vindi. Not even close.
Procedure:
To keep it fair, all fits are t2 armor tank with t2 mods, with 60%+ resists and are things I'd be willing to fly in a armor VG with random logi. All fits have a minimum of 6:30 cap, enough for a reasonable fleet to clear a site without worrying about cap. No ammo with tracking penalties, unless it has the web power to compensate. I also used the post kronos figures for all ships, to make the NM a viable hull with t2 tank.

Laser boats:
NaGeddon: 1310 DPS, 21+19 km, .042rads, w/ sentry fit
NaPoc: 999 DPS, 23+25km, .038rads, w/ gecko, 2 hammer, 1 hob
NM: 1315 DPS, 22+21km, .040rads, w/ gecko, 2 hammer, 1 hob
Palli 1253DPS, 29+16km, .048 rads, w/ 5 hobs (Bonus, full stable without utility highs fit)
