Unable to patch client

First message I get is this:

You will not be able to enter the game until you download the update.



Followed by this:

same problem. it seems ccp lives up to thier name Cant Complete Patch
use the repair tool in the client file

Get the patch here, download it, put it in game directory.

The latest there seems to be from last week, also what do I actually do with the patch file once I have it?

Anyone have the most recent one up? I've tried the launcher, bypassing launcher, repair tool, downloading directly from the website, reinstalling through steam etc...

I'm only 3 days into playing, seems interesting, but it sounds like this sort of technical issue is very common?
