Nah, that wasn't what happened. They got a 317B donation from a former member who ragequit from EVE because Sreegs' team took his assets for market botting. They didn't touch the ISK and petitioned to make sure it was clean. CCP said it wasn't and removed it, then Kelduum tried to make a scandal over it (even though CCP did their

I'm guessing he expected CCP to leave 317B of botted ISK intact? Or maybe he thought that nobody in his group would do something that naughty? Who knows.

I would've accepted and immediately send a petition to CCP "hay this guy just put 114bil isk in my account for no reason at all. is this legit money? if not, feel free to take it and also ban the guy who sent it."

So..."If it's too good to be true, it probably isn't true" doesn't apply if there's a lot of (supposedl) isk involved, eh? Ok. Every scam in EVE and RL that is successful works because of the greed of the mark, right? Maybe seizing sudden spacewealth opportunity is legit...but trade window rather than direct to wallet?...and people throw that much isk around without knowing exactly where / who they're sending it to? Something seems strange...but, hey, go ahead and jump right on that...ignore any pesky thoughts like "people bring the bonus rooms on themselves because of their own greed" or anything. Yer gonna be spacerich! Woohoo!

OP... you could have accepted the ISK then filed a petition asking if the money was "clean."

If it wasn't then the money would have been removed from your account and you could go about your business with the warm fuzzy feeling that you just screwed an RMTer. If it WAS clean then you would be 100 bil richer with the warm fuzzy feeling that you just "won EVE."

Missed opportunity tbh.
