What are the chances that I could profit from c1-c3 WH using a buzzard as a scanner/hacker and a drake alt to clear sleepers? I figured I could scan down wormholes in k-space then scout w-space until I find an unoccupied WH with data/relic sigs. Then, my buzzard starts scanning and my drake alt comes in to clear sleepers. I know I can survive scouting in w-space with my buzzard but I have to decloak to hack and drake is always in the open.


  1. Obviously, I'll lose my ship(s) to WH corps occasionally. Do you think I could on average make more than it costs to replace them?
  2. Any suggestions on scouting the system? I know to d-scan in different areas for probes, POS, bubbles, and ships. What else should I look for?
  3. I thought about using two tengu... but those are too expensive while I learn to make a profit from this.
  4. Even I don't find an unoccupied WH I may be able to profit if the WH chain opens up in null.

You will most likely have a lot of trouble cleaning C3 sites with a solo drake. C2-C1 you should be fine. I'd be amazed if you lost money doing that. You seem to have the basics of WH down. I'd advise using a tool like siggy, it's cheap.

3. dont be afraid of using two shiny tengus. faster u clear-safer you are.

I used to be in a WH corp but I was way too casual to do much more than scan things down. I really enjoyed it but when it's tough to be on when ratting you quickly lose isk. I'll stick to c2's for now but maybe I'll attempt c3's based on rudinV's suggestion that two tengus isn't too much risk.

With the time I spent in a C2 I did a few relic and data sites. The ISK from looting and salvaging the sleepers was better than the combat sites. The ISK from data sites could be decent if you grab the right cans.

But for relic sites, don't bother with the minigame unless you enjoy it. The drops from the relics are terrible. I'd be lucky to get 1 million from the relics. My advise with relic sites is that, unless you enjoy the minigame, don't bother with it. Just kill the sleepers, loot and salvage them, then leave for the next site.

Did a run with a c1 today. The first was being mined so I moved on and found an empty one with a data site. Destroyed my buzzard because I was being stupid... Drake survived but probably needs a better fit for c2. Only 14m with salvaging. I didn't get to do the data because I lost my buzzard. I'll do a few more in c1 to get comfortable but I'm starting off at a loss (net -15m) :-p Thanks for the input. That was more action than I've had in eve in months!
