Hello gents,

As an attempt to promote both itself and Eve in general, our corporation is going to host public roams in low-sec and null-sec. They are going to be streamed on http://www.destiny.gg/ and FC'ed either by Yesong(destiny) or guest FCs. The goal of these public roams is to give everybody, new to Eve or not, an opportunity to experience what quite a few of us see as the fun side of Eve: pew pew.

Our First Public Roam

Date: 23.05.2014, 23:00 EVE Time
Location: Amarr VIII (Oris) - Emperor Family Academy
FC: Yesong

Hello, denizens of /r/eve. At 2300 Eve Time Friday night (tomorrow), my corporation (Nanashi no Geemu) is going to host a public Talwar roam. The idea is to start in Amarr and head into low-sec and null-sec to find some pew-pew. The event will be streamed live on my stream with either a 2-3 minute delay or no delay (still undecided) to encourage "content" depending on whether or not we're able to find anyone.

We'll be providing 100 free Talwars for this roam. If you're able to swing by and join us using your own ship, we encourage you to do so as we'd like to keep these Talwars reserved for newer pilots who might not be able to bring their own destroyer or frigate.

Here are the bare minimum skills required to sit in the Talwars we'll be handing out:

Minmatar Destroyer Level I
Minmatar Frigate Level III
Shield Upgrades Level I
High Speed Maneuvering Level I
Afterburner Level III
Long Range Targeting Level I
Capacitor Management Level II
Power Grid Management Level III
Weapon Upgrades Level I
Hull Upgrades Level I
Missile Launcher Operation Level II
Light Missiles Level I

Here are the "guideline" skills, ie: these will improve your performance in the Talwar:

Hull Upgrades Level III
Mechanics III
Shield Operation III
Shield Management III
Tactical Shield Manipulation III
CPU Management IV
Power Grid Management IV
Weapon Upgrades III
Capacitor Systems Operation III
Capacitor Management III
Thermodynamics I -> needs Science Level IV
Long Range Targeting III
Target Management III
Signature Analysis III
Minmatar Frigate III
Minmatar Destroyer III
Acceleration Control III
Evasive Maneuvering III
High Speed Maneuvering III -> needs Afterburner III
Navigation III
Warp Drive Operation III
Spaceship Command III
Light Missiles III
Missile Bombardment III
Missile Launcher Operation IV
Missile Projection III
Rapid Launch III
Target Navigation Prediction III
Warhead Upgrades III

I'm going to try to make this roam as newbie friendly as possible. That means we (me + other GEEMU people involved) will do our best to answer questions that come up and we'll avoid doing anything much more complicated than flying from gate to gate and shooting people.

If you plan to come, I fully suggest that you look up how to properly update your clone and to make sure you don't have any costly implants that you can't afford to lose plugged into your pod, as we do look to fly this fleet until we get blown up by something bigger than us. If you have questions about either of these things, there are plenty of resources available online (or even other people from /r/eve and the eve forums) who you could direct your questions to. If you're still absolutely lost, you could post your questions here and I'll update the OP to reflect it.

It's preferable that you have a mic as we'll be hosting the roam comms on a teamspeak server, but it's not absolutely required.

It'd also be nice if you could show up at least 30-60 minutes prior to our departure to obtain a ship from either me or another GEEMU person so that we aren't scrambling to get things organized at the last minute.

See you in space.
