Well, I thought the day wouldn't come when I would have to create a topic. I'm no Doreen.. thinking of topics is very hard for me. I'd rather just lob replies in other people's topics all day.

So I decided to make my first topic a really important one.

Reaver Glitterstim. You all know him. Viciously handsome, with a super sexy ISK killboard efficiency of 95.2%. He's a TESTie, so in the EVE universe he's a bit like Jesus.. back from the dead, munching on a wafer and YOLOing in structure bash parties in Catch (oh, of the funnest kind). He wears a red star like Sindel, so we know he's probably pretty cool. And given the overwhelming scientific evidence for thin men being über sexy, it's really kind of surprising there isn't a topic dedicated to our haiku loving, romantic comedy action super star type, science and philosophy filibustering null sec HERO (see what I did there?). He's probably not accredited for teaching in a university, but I'd call him professor for sure, if ya know what I mean. Shocked

What do you remember, positive or negative about him?

Also, we can all use another excuse to share some cake, so we could do that too.

D'aww, you shouldn't have! (naw, you should have)

I was reading that article you linked, with a typical heavy dose of scientific interest, as is normally the case for me when reading such things, when I realized that I was giving more attention to the article than this post. :P

Oh, and you should check my killing blow to loss ratio. It's something like the reverse of my isk efficiency ratio. I lose about 20 ships to every killing blow.

Double post incoming. I'm on a roll today in that respect.

You know, Sibyyl, you're like me in a lot of respects. Let me count the ways:
1.) we're both scientific
2.) we're both nerdy
3.) we both like trail mix (do you prefer it over bacon? y/n me: resounding yes)
4.) we both do better at improving existing things than creating entirely new things
5.) we're both curious about the unknown
6.) we both like colorful things (guess based on your hair and pointing out my shirt)

speaking of colorful things, what's your thoughts on those colorful picturesque button-up shirts? y'know, like these?
I can't stop collecting them, and I wish I could buy one at the NEX.

Kill blow to loss ratio? Don't you know? I just care about money.. and your credit rating is way above 700.

Now let's not get distracted from the topic (you!) but for your information, I've never had bacon. The Hawaiian shirts are pretty nice, but I think I prefer sports coats and slicked back hair.. not sure what it is. I hope you can find a nice parakeet green and blood orange orange colored shirt combo in NeX one day..

Tom Paris? I think this guy (unquestionably) takes that title in my mind, but I wouldn't kick this young man out of bed, either.

TEST's ISK kill/loss ratio used to look like mine. We'd go up against "good" PVPers who would "win" the engagement and send us all home packing. But we'd score a handful of kills that would beat our entire fleet value a few times over.

The groups that went up against us said we were bad at PVP. But we weren't the ones letting faction and deadspace-fit strategic cruisers get lured away from the pack.

His butt reminds me of two Ishtars sitting side by side - streamlined, stylish, strong and with decent drone capacity between them. However to touch it has the texture of a ripe peach and when squeezed the consistency of a freshly baked loaf of sandwich bread.

Gray, I think if Reaver and his red shirt ever made it to Harajuku he would make street girls with furry stockings and torn anime shirts and face paint jealous of all the attention he'd steal away. That's if he's not dancing on top of a bar in Shinjuku or running full speed from a gaggle of screaming ravers in Roppongi. (also I'm very jealous you are in Japan and I am not!)

I've never actually clicked on Reaver's 3-d model to check out his gluteus but I am tempted to do it..

My killboard is honestly not that much to talk about. Due to the way the system counts points, people who fly in larger fleets get overwhelmingly better scores. I'm a pretty good fleetmate when it comes to following directions and working as a team, but I do poorly on my own or in a leadership role, and virtually all of my kills would have been made just fine if I hadn't been there to help. My only two true solo kills are a training accident and this one time I killed an Iteron Mk III with a Retriever. Which was totally AWESOME!

But I just wanted to set the record straight. You can talk my killboard up all you like, but I just want to make sure you guys know the truth.

But seriously, check out this kill! http://eve.battleclinic.com/killboard/killmail.php?id=12845049
20 POINTS!!

I was jetcan mining and he came and stole my ore in an Iteron. He just casually warped off, like it was just free ore sitting in space. I pretended nothing happened for a while (I was pretending to be a dumb bot) and I warped to station at some point and fitted a warp scrambler to my retriever. Went back out and started jet can mining again right in the same spot. Sure enough, he comes out for more. Target locked, scrammed, drones on him. Those pre-tiericide industrials melted like ice cream on a hot summer day. Retrievers did too, though. Once a guy with -10.0 sec status ran a thrasher through highsec, dodging the faction Navy all the way, and warped to me mining in a Retriever, which he popped in one volley with small artillery. Yeah, they used to be squishy.

Well, being a rugged tough guy and all, it's kind of hard to admit.

I mean, it's still very much a taboo subject in public, especially with someone I'm generally more of a stranger to than an acquaintance.

But you know. Well ahhhh, ummm, ahhh; screw it, I like Testies too.

I'm not sure that came out right.

Reaver, I love your jetcan mining story. For some reason it reminds me of the time I set up a container outside Jita 4-4 with some faction ammo and a few T2 guns and sat in wait for somebody to go yellow looting it. Somebody was playing a game in Local which involved some thinking and typing (I'm not a good multitasker) so by the time I noticed the Ibis empty the container and warp out, it was too late.

I followed the Ibis to a different Jita station where they stayed for a bit of a while. And then i noticed the Ibis pilot chatting in Local trying to win a frigate from somebody who was giving away ships. "Go dock up in Jita 4-4" the donator said, presumably for a station trade. The Ibis got to 4-4 and got caught doing a dockup.

Not by me, of course. Because I warped to a totally different station instead. Straight

I think I have more of an impact in the new player forums.
I wanna make a claim that I'm better looking but the Khanid bloodline wasnt kind to me in that regard. I'd say I look like Xerc except as a Gallentean >.>

Shocked Heresy! Glitterstim speaks heresy! Every single kill on a KB counts as a full kill, even if you did just 0.1% damage! That's the way it is, the way it has always been, and the way we have all pumped up our egos. If you want to stay a member of this community, you'd best not go around pointing out any "killing blow to loss ratio" nonsense! Blink
