Dude. Quit the game asap. You clearly had way too much of it. Consider visiting a psychologist. I'm serious.

you've obviously not read the vast majority of my posts. I am complaining that obtaining monopolies in game is not possible anymore, which is true. it took me 2 and a half years to obtain an 80% effective control over all regional markets, I sustained it for just over 2 years, and then CCP removed the ability to have monopolies from the game. this didn't happen recently, but several years ago. Every time I get an upper hand that I can manipulate to completely outstrip nearly everyone else CCP negates it, while offering less and less to replace it with until we have today, where the older players can quite literally do nothing to maintain an effective control. if you were aware of current 0.0 politics (or lack of) you'd realize it's in far more chaos than ever, with nearly no organized method of anything. the entire game is in chaos. you have craploads of people all over quitting! over the summer CCP lost approx 8% of their subscribers, and most of them were not the indy pilots who whined about GS invading Gallante high sec, they were valid long-time players who got sick and tired of always being nerfed to the point where it wasn't worth it to have the skills they trained all at level 5.

again, if you (like several others) had read all my posts you'd have read that I've already unsubbed all my accounts. as I pay for them in yearly subscriptions a few of them have 7 to 10 months left of being active.

that said, I will not be re-subscribing until EVE has some semblance of a game that isn't out of control and going to ultimately fail.

if you have any knowledge of EVE's past you can take the data I give in here and figure out who exactly I am in game. If you take the time to do that and realize who I am in game you'll understand why I use this toon so much as a 'common' face for most things I do out of game.

I can say I'm a lawyer who retired to play EVE because I'm so baller IRL, but that doesn't make me Mittens. How about some screenshots of this isk you have?

Also, the way I can tell you're not successful IRL is you talk too much about it. I know a guy who actually has real money, and he hates talking about his success. His family didn't even know until he donated a significant chunk of money to his alma mater.

New players NEED to be able to feel like they're catching up, or they'll leave. Simple as that. If "the top" is forever unattainable to those of us who didn't start in the first year of the game, we'll leave. So making the game favor people based on how long they've been playing is a recipe for a slow death for Eve.

As for Eve being idiot-friendly: it's not. Idiots still get scammed, ganked, conned, and demolished by smarter players.

I have voiced concerns about some recent actions by CCP that reflect a *short-term* lack of balance in the way they are handling game mechanics, but it's something I expect will stop short of anything game-ruining and hope will be fixed properly in the coming months. CCP has been scrambling to do things quickly to save face after Incarna, and that haste is resulting in some sloppy work.

That means EVE still is able to offer something different from everything else, and in particular, avoids one of the greatest hurdles for getting new people to join in an old game.
Fun fact: it takes a fair bit more than that for new players to get to the same point.
This is a good thing. Older players are just old — there is nothing special about them that should let them have some special “effective control” over others.

I love my RL success. I like bragging about it. I like proving people wrong. I like actually being envied and hated at the same time because I make things blatantly obvious that I am effectively better than them. I do go on power trips, and I do have an addiction to power. I fully acknowledge this and am fully aware of this. I enjoy having enough to do quite literally everything I want to do. While being an asshat I still have 'some' compassion. many of the people I play Warhammer: 40,000 with who are over intelligent and under employed have received quite literally hundreds of dollars of new models because I took compassion on them and bought them with my money while asking for nothing in return. I also have no family, no kids, and other than car insurance, health insurance, gas money, food, utilities, and taxes, I effectively have no bills. I own my house, own my car, and when I say that I mean I don't owe anything on them. I don't have the biggest house, but I don't need it. I don't drive a Porsche, but I don't really care about cars. I have sweet computers with probably one of the most expensive setups you'll ever come across (minus Bill Gate's of course). I have what I want, need, and way more than that. I give regularly to Toys for Tots (about 1 to 2 K a year), I've paid for several people's transportation and lodging to various conventions, tourneys, etc... I'm not entirely selfish out of game... and I really love rubbing success in people's faces. but ultimately, this topic isn't about my RL, nor what I currently can/can not do in EVE, it's about CCP nerfing and deleting literally everything that made it worth while to spend years in EVE.

I was using the t2 bpos as an example. there still are a very limited amount of T2 bpos, which I do take advantage of considering I have quite a few. that said... I am dumbstruck that there are 'industrialists' that willingly spend hundreds of millions of isk on 1 ship just to get a measly 2 to 5 mil isk profit. it isn't just the market, it is all aspects of EVE. every single one. and I've given examples to most of these aspects in various posts in this thread. if you want to find all of them you can read them. also, considering my style of play is to monopolize things, and it's literally impossible to do that, and has been for a few years, why would I start over instead of leave? if I were to start a new toon, I'd end up in the same situation I am now.... which is 'CCP took away the ability to have monopolies, and then nerfed/negated/removed everything that made older players able to possess an 'effective control'.
