I constantly run at least 4 clients at the same time, all with the launcher, with no problems.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Why cant you just use the exefile workaround and click it X number of times for X number of alts?

You can try it, but clicking the exe a second time will just switch you to the first EVE window instead of invoking a second client.

Joffy Aulx-Gao for CSM. Fix links and OGB. Ban stabs from plexes. Fulfill karmic justice.

The launcher was a fix for a problem that never existed so naturally CCP spent much time and money on it while ignoring other game breaking flaws.

The only real problem I have with the launcher is that can't set one account to open to one screen and another account to another screen. While it's not difficult to change screen once the client is running it is extra work you have to do every time.

The launcher was introduced to prepare the way for a variety of options to be possible that the player base has been asking to get for years. Some of those options are in, others are still being developed (such as each character remembering all the graphics settings, which monitor, etc.).

The end goal is to not only enhance playability for multiple client users, but to also pave the way for the launcher to be the central focal point for all CCP produced games that you may end up playing. This is especially nice since a major design goal is for you to be able to use the same characters across a variety of games.

So, in short, you have no idea what you are talking about. Smile
