CODE Swarm Tactics

For those who are against the CODE Alliance here are few tactics they might employ to effect their rule over a system.

The tactic is called the called the CODE Swarm. Basically the same as the blob the CODE Swarm would use Rookie ships fit with t2 modules to attack a single target.

The smallest CODE Swarm would number five ships orbiting a single command ship that would then progress all the way upto every single CODE member being part of the swarm. The swarm then moves through a system attacking at leisure the ships they want to.

The CODE Swarm would be effective against any ship as long as there were numerical numbers for CODE.

CODE 's mannerism are that the larger target it comes across means a higher payout.

CODES targets have been :

Mining Barges and Mining Ships
Haulers and Freighters

Future targets :

Noctis and Primae as both can be caught with large amounts of valuable cargo and are easier to tank than a Retriever.

Primae? Primae would be killed for funny killmail, not profit. Because nobody would carry anything valueable in Primae in the first place due to lack of any measures for protecting itself. Nereus may pack everything Primae can while being cheap, more agile, capable of fitting tank and even throwing some magic dust (i.e. ECM drones) in the face.

The problem with abundance of fishermen is the problem of alternatively smart fish.

I don't get it. You're looking to gank possible gankers - taking down their destroyer with your blob of rookie ships?

Allow me to introduce you to Fawn Tailor. I would recommend you not fly a Noctis in her presence. I'm New Order, and I used to check to see if Fawn was online before undocking my Noctis to salvage L4s. If you ever flew a Primae while she was within the constellation, I'm pretty sure she'd get a tingling in her nether region. Don't do it.

I'm pretty sure any use of rookie ships to gank on their part is less of a deliberate tactic and more an outright insult/joke at the expensive of people who don't know what shield extenders do.

This quality topic was brought to you by DrysonBennington.

When you get some time, ask him about the "Scissors Technique" (which as we all know, is the "end of the end" for the New Order) or what new ideas he has cooking for the Features and Ideas sub forum. I promise you, you will leave with a smile on your face :)

Can we start over once you've got your head on straight and maybe had a cup of coffee? Its usually funnier that way

All that I can gather is that Dryson wants to attack CODE when they are en masse. Which happens at 2 times, docked or at gank. (And yes technically transit time as well) So from my conclusion, since The Code always wins, is that somehow his blob of rookie ships will hunt us down within the station! ZOMGWTFHAXORS!

Ok wait, Dryson, are you saying Anti-Code guys should get in Noob ships and orbit a command ship and gank Code guys, or Code guys are going to get in noob ships and orbit a command ship, and gank miners? Your post is really unclear. If it's the former, go for it, would love to see you out and about with a setup like that. If it's the later, noob ships make for hilarious ganks, but we wouldn't orbit the command ship as too many gankers are -10 and wouldn't be able to stay on field long enough.

Who even flies a Primae? What exactly is that ship good for? Nothing. It should be made spacedust just on general principal.

Once upon a time it was the king of PI hauling. LOL jk, it was never king of anything at all. It's an awful ship and if someone is flying one, for some reason other than just as a collectors item, they should self destruct it.

Can we all shut up and let Dryon speak? I haven't heard him saying anything this classic since he spent three hours convincing Uedama local (while we were ganking freighters) that we were goons and that we used (and I quote) "omni damage swarm destroyers" and that the reason we are so effective is because we "fly in formations" and that if the freighters would just equip a dc2 that they'd be safe.
