HELLO

I HAVE BEEN PLAYING EVE FOR 6 MONTHS
I have been doing the mission "missions of mercy" for a few days that i find it impossible to do it.
According to you, what would be the best ship to take and what would be the ideal fitting of this ship
I took a stabber and i killed only one ship and my stabber was destroyed
Thank you very much

That one is a nasty L2 mission. I almost lost a BC in it once (have lost a Vexor)

Got a friend you can ask to team up with you for it?

a Cruiser should manage it
having a T2 kin/therm tank definitely helps though, it was a lot to harder to do when I ran it using an Omni-tank

I used to nuke the npc cruisers 1st to remove most of the incoming dps, then speed tank the frigates

Welcome to Eve.

First of all, there is no shame in dropping back down to level 1 missions and do a bit more skill training in order to complete level 2 missions.

Definitely need to train up the Core Fitting skills as that will make it easy to do good ship fits. A shield / speed tank Stabber with Autocannon's works great. The trick is to keep moving in orbit around the larger targets and quickly take out smaller targets when they get into range of your guns.

Stabber basic fit :

High slots
4x Dual 180mm Autocannon I
2x Light Missile Launcher

Medium slots
1x Large Shield Extender I
1x Adaptive Invulnerability Field I
1x 10mn Afterburner I
1x Tracking Computer I - with Tracking Script

Low slots
1x Power Diagnostic System
1x Damage Control I
2x Gyrostabilizer I

Rig slots
1x Medium Anti-EM Screen Reinforcer I
2x Medium Core Defense Field Purger I

Drone Bay
5x Light Scout Drone I

You can probably upgrade this fit with Tech 1 - Meta Level 3 modules which have lower fitting requirements and better attributes. Definitely train up your skills in order to upgrade the ship fit to Tech 2 modules asap. Good luck to you.

I LOVE That missions.. it's actually L3 worth of loot and bounties.

I did it in algos spamming cheap drones on frigs and medium drones on cruisers.
sniped with rails outside their range.

was epic mission.

The mission that taught me that EVE is not balanced, and doing the extra preparation like reading up and fitting to the particular scenario is a good idea.

I love it for that, and I hate it for taking away my first Cruiser.
It's excellent*.

Don't forget about ship insurance before undocking. Don't forget about copy-paste saving before posting.

Yes this mission can be PITA, i m doing it with a Vexor and i though if i shoot frigates first will be ok, WRONG!
At the 2nd try i got aggro at 20km of cruisers opened my AB and Kite them then i let my Hammerheads kill the Cruisers one by one, not a single drone lost.

As fot the fit 2 eanm 1 med rep and 2 DDA in lows 61% thermal/kinetic resists. I Dunno if you go specific hardeners can be easier :)

That mission should not be a lvl 2 mission.

If you don't have good skills, it can be hard even in a battlecruiser if its not fit well.

And lvl 2s shouldn't require good skills or particularly well fit battlecruisers.

Get a friend, and avoid that mission until your skills and fit are better

Why not trying a Caracal?

Talwar will melt in that. If a BC can struggle, a destroyer is going to be one hell of a challenge.

When you try it again, make sure you align to a celestial as soon as you start taking damage so that you can warp out if necessary. It may take a few tried/

I did use a caracal (hml, not ham/rlml)
initially it was my only weapon group that had seen training

the caracal had really good range, which probably helped a lot Evil

my ship use up till now has been
Kestrel (Missions), Caracal (Missions), Gila (C4 Wormhole), Drake (Nul-sec Ratting), Tengu (Missions), Nightmare (Incursions).

I helped a 6 month old character in starter corp complete this mission a few days ago.

His ship actually needed to be fit correctly so I gave him some pointers to do a basic shield fit. In fact after the re-fit, that 6 month old character was able to tank and destroy some of those cruisers in that mission by himself.

Of course I was in my Jaguar fleeted with him but I could tell he wouldn't have any more problems with that mission in the future, especially after he skills up a bit more. His main problem was the ship fit.

The Stabber fit up I posted earlier should have no problem whatsoever completing this or any other level 2 mission.

Cruiser with long range weapons is what you need.

I used a Rupture with auto-cannons. Lost the Rupture.
I used a Rupture with artillery, and easily completed the mission.

This is an old fit:

It is not obvious to fit correctyl a ship. One's need money to train skill .

Daphne, I think better result would tell us what you current train in?
You train for Laser, Hybrid, Projectile, Drone or Missile?
Do you have shield, or Armour tanking skill?

we can make million suggestion, but it don't mean you can drive all of them right now. or spent less than 24 hours to meet minimum requirement on said ship. It will only lead to other wrecks

instead, we should know what you have skill in, so we can suggest which ship with what fit that match your skill.
