If I claim sovereignty in a system that has a station in -.07 space, how do I change that station name? can I attack that station to gain control if that's what's needed? what about POS in that same system since its interfering with play? .... just preplanning for now and not sure about this stuff. thanks.

1) your Corp needs to own the station for you to rename it (unless you can convince the current owner)

2) if the current sov holder owns the station, you need to flip the station away from their control before you can destroy their TCU and thus claim sov yourself. Attacking the station to flip it would require you to anchor SBUs. In short, read up on sov mechanics for this.

3) POS are unrelated to sov, and would require destroying unless you can convince the owner to remove them.

I'm also not sure that the test server forum is the right place for this enquiry.

Thanks for the quick reply. Its on the test server that I'm playing in. I just don't want to do anything that would get me banned or P*ss off someone. Big smile

I was wondering the same thing a week ago - the answer is you can bash them if you have Sov in the system, but you're not allowed to restrict access to them in any way.

You are so wrong.

This person is talking about things on the test server.

Anyways, if you have sov you can bash the station, and all POSes are removed on a mirror. If there is already a POS there, you can't destroy it.

Thanks for the clarification on the POSes. I wasn't going to touch those until I knew for sure.
