Tried to logon today and my game isn't launching. Launcher loads and then it tells me it is launching and it never does.

So I tried reinstalling the client.... no go.

Tried running the repair tool... nope...

So I checked the terminal log as the game tries to load up:

INFO - sys.argv: ['/Applications/EVE Online.app/appdata/EVE Online-2.1.655130.macosx/EVE Online.app/Contents/Resources/launcher.py']
CH_LOG - Play cmd: 'EVE\\ Online.app/Contents/MacOS/cider --debugmsg -all --cmdline=" /ssoToken=V5R6evxRC-gq5AEpyp4Y8hbBWAA4SKBcAU_huakTwrJfvpKGFKN265ETmKkOu2ZzBOWzHcudzIcDBwuhR7Y75A2"'
CH_LOG - Play pid: 1208
Line 35: Malformed value '"Path" = “@tmp@”'
Could not stat /Users/MrD/Library/Application Support/EVE Online/win95 (No such file or directory), ignoring drive E:
Invalid path 'e:\tg-MrD' for temp directory: does not exist
Perhaps you have not properly edited or created your Wine configuration file.
This is (supposed to be) '/Users/MrD/Library/Application Support/EVE Online/config'

Apparently some directories have gotten erased or messed up. I am bad at life and computers.

Update:

I nuked my user folder in my users area and have eve make a new one and it started.

Lost all my user settings but eve is working again.

Update 2:

Client loads up and it was working, but then the graphics went crazy and it blinked a bit. Restarted the client and it black screens, the game is running but the graphic simulations aren't loading.

I managed to guess the character select area on the black screen and it played the loading sounds and loaded my character into game without seeing anything. I toggled between full and window mode and it was not loading the environments. Naturally, I feel if I could lower the graphic settings this might help... but as I cannot see them to lower them I am in a bit of a bind.

Update 3: Disconnected my second screen, got visual back on eve.. managed to downgrade graphics and etc ;)

My Mac client didn't start up today as well. I fixed it by deleting everything inside this directory (relative to my users home):

Library/Application Support/EVE Online/p_drive/Local Settings/Application Data/CCP/EVE/c_program_files_ccp_eve_tranquility/cache

I didn't loose any settings.

you will need to enable your search to see system folders to do this

For this kind of work, you're usually better off using the terminal than the Finder. You cannot see all files in the Finder. It does that to protect you from yourself and to hide things that most people don't meddle with, but in this case you WANT to meddle with it ;)

ok, now i solved the problem.

i deletet steam, the eve client from steam and the normal eve client.
then i looked on the hd for all content with "eve" and delete it.

then i installed the Eve Client (not the steam client), make the 818mb Update and

now it runs!

so for me its ok, now.

But one question: are there any differences between the normal Eve Client and the Steam Version.
Bevore i played only with the Steam Client.

Thx
