Racial PvE / PvP Question

Hi all

I am looking to start a new character for PvE & PvP and wondered which races ships were best (or preferred) for this currently. It's been years since I have properly played Eve and realize a lot has changed in ship balancing for example Caldari / Missiles were great for PvE but sucked for PvP last time I was playing Eve on a regular basis so just wondered if there is one races ships that currently stands out for combat roles or are things pretty much equal now.

This is the wrong forum ;). To answer your question, nothing is really the "best". Everything has its pro's and con's but can get the job done.

Yeah terribly sorry about that I just noticed, had two tabs open and made a new thread on the wrong one. I'll report it and hopefully a mod will move it to the correct section.

"PvP and PvE" is pretty broad. Did you have a size class, hi/low/null preference, preferred PvE targets, or a combat style in mind?

in my opinion and this is a pretty biased opinion ^^

missiles still the best weapon system for missions, atleast with cruise missiles in l4.
if u wanna do incursions u would probably be better of with a nightmare (as u sounded like u had caldari already trained, if u started complete new vindicator)
for pvp the flavour of the month is currently gallente if im not mistaken. Atleast what i have seen from the current meta u r better of with armor boats.
