With my skills (which are kinda low atm, but getting worked on) my max range is only 155km or so, but that's it basically. Depends on initial ranges also. It does have decent enough tank that if not much is close I can often not even bother with an initial jump & just ab away from the enemy while blasting them. But yea; generally speaking can just jump away & start firing while keeping range with the ab. When done you can often just hoover up close in loot & then MJD jump or often direct warp back to the gate or start point you need to progress &/or hoover up the early wrecks.
It does take longer to kill everything in big fights with the standard Raven instead of the Navy, but it does the job & is cheap as was requested. Also with better fitting skills or dropping some tank, you can probably drop a Power Relay & toss in a 4th BCS. That should boost kill speed a bit also. A lot of folks say use faction ammo; which also boosts damage a good bit. I'm just trying to save up my ISK though & find the standard does the job, for waaaaaay less ISK. Once (if) I get space rich I'll happily go faction, but sticking to the cheap seats for now. Also, once you get (or if you already have) t2 launchers, I'm sure t2 ammo will work fine & I believe it's considerably cheaper that faction. Will be shorter ranged, but with proper skills you should still be able to hit with furies out to 120+km or farther. That would be where a Navy Raven would shine also as its bonuses would help offset the furies penalties & make precisions unneeded pretty much. Just my 2 cents of course & I don't claim to be any kind of pro fitter or theory-crafter.

I was just wondering how you shrug off the 600 base damage 150km scourge missiles that sometimes fly around without a booster or anything.

If you are on a budget, keep in mind that a loading accelerator probably gives you less applied dps than a rigor, especially against fast, small bs like angels.

People in general use tps with furys, cause they are considerably worse than t1/navy in application.

150mil sp, 'bout 500mil in the bank. Probably looking at a t1 battleship with cheap t2 fit, but I'm reading up on the changes for ~3 years worth of patches. Anyone want to update me on what's hot?

best cheap mission ship i assume t1 bs for l4 ^^

missile: Raven Navy > Typhoon > Raven
hybrids: Hyperion>Megathron>Rokh>Hyperion(without good droneskills)
projectiles: Maelstrom>Tempest
Drones: Dominix>Armageddon
Lasers: Napoc>Navy Geddon>Apocalypse>Abaddon

For missions i love the Raven Navy but its not the cheap ships i think u r looking for. Typhoon is great but tough on fits cpu wise.
