Today, I had my usual two Tq clients operational. Then out of the blue, both froze and I had to force quit. At first I thought it was a modem problem, but after 3 computer and modem resets, no change.

Basically what happens is that I can open the launcher, but after I login and it begins to launch, nothing happens. The game never shows up period.

Short of reinstalling, I have no idea on a fix.

I had the same problem with launcher v2.1.655130. I ended up changing the Wine Registry config from backup, even after re-installing the full client.

The config file is in ~/Library/Application Support/EVE Online/config ... if you have a config.old, create a backup of config (to config.bak, for example) and replace the new for the .old.

In Terminal.app/iTerm.app
% cp config config.bak
% cp config.old config

Start the launcher.

I ran a diff of the two configs and there are a lot of changes. Perchance these changes should have waited until Kronos?

Thanks. I will give that a try here shortly. Still annoying though.

Update. The suggestion did not fix the problem. I am going to purge my computer of everything related to eve besides the newest client installed today. Maybe something got corrupted, dont know.

Started having the same problem today. By any chance, did this occur after patching to the latest Singularity build? I'm wondering if the issue is related to the different Cider versions. SiSi launcher still works fine for me.

Having the same problem today too. I was playing fine and updating SiSi whilst playing TQ, and as soon as SiSi updated I hopped on to test something. Upon leaving, TQ wont launch, but sisi will. It is most definitely SiSI.

Forgot to mention that no troubleshooting works, including bypass and cache resets. Will try uninstalling sisi.

I deleted the entire EVE library folder including my two old tq clients and sisi client. EVE now loads again.

I thought it was just coincidence, but I also just finished sisi update when all these issues started, so I would suggest doing what I did. The only EVE file I saved is my personalized overview settings.

Negative, did not work. Creating a new EvE library and removing SiSi, as I know SiSi is what started the problem.

Edit: Can confirm, second method worked.

DO NOT DELETE EVERYTHING! Found this post by CCP Sledgehammer and it works fine and takes 2 minutes...

Hi Lord Taca,

There's a possibility that it may have changed a key value in the config file for EVE under Application Support. Could you try the following out for me please?

1. Open Terminal
2. Type “cd Library/Application\ Support/EVE\ Online/
3. Type "open config"
4. In the resulting document (Which should be opened in a text editor), find this section:
[Drive E]
“Path” = “@tmp@”
“Type” = “hd”
“Label” = “tmp”
“Filesystem” = “win95”

5. Change the line “Path” = “@tmp@” to “Path” = “/tmp”
6. Save and close the file.

Run Singularity's launcher again and it should connect. Be sure that the " marks used are the same as other marks in the config file.

does this fix the sisi launcher or the TQ one?

Thats exactly the thing two of us JUSt said did not work. Deleting SiSi and reinstalling the latest TQ patch worked.

So as of now, it is impossible to have the sisi clieant and the TQ client on the same computer?

Had the very same issue. For me, what helped what creating a folder "@TMP@" (without the quotes obviously) within
the "Library/Application Support/Eve Online" folder that contained the "config" file.

Just double-checked, and yes, I can start both the singularity client and the TQ client.

Just also checked: Symbolic link works, too.... so:

1. Open Terminal
2. Type “cd Library/Application\ Support/EVE\ Online/"
3. Type "ln -s /tmp @TMP@"

4. start your eve client

Main Client borked after the SiSi download ..

but it is launcher related not necc. client related as Clonemaker still makes for active connections without being reliant on the launcher

Add me to the list of Mass Testers yesterday that can't log in using the launcher for TQ.

Same problems. Load Launcher, login, and client never loads. Currently have deleted both installs for TQ and Sisi and am waiting for the 7GB+ download of the new client to finish so I can install a fresh version.

Hello,

i have similar the same problem.
i play Eve from the Steam Client, and tried yesterday the first time to connect to the singularity server.
this needs a big update from the client.
later i have connected to the sever, bur no time to play.

so today i switched back to TQ Server and it startet the patch from today.
After downloading, i can start the launcher, press the "play" Button, it says "connecting" but then it jumps back to "play".

so i can't also not start the TQ launcher.
