I have been experiencing since I started playing EVE on OS X constant issues with missing textures while being in the character customization. I am currently using the EVE Online client given from CCP since Wine only had even more issues outright from the launcher itself.

What happens is that whenever I play with the options (any of them) there's a change that my character turns wholly black, as if the lights went off, but the background and other 2D icons remain there. Sometimes textures "break" or turn into low quality if I keep playing with the options and rarely the character returns to normal.

Finally, sometimes if I keep playing with the options or want to exit from the screen the client freezes. Similarly to the situations expressed in this thread.

It's a really annoying issue, so I would like to know if there's any solution I can try on my end, or I should just wait for a fix from CCP?
