- if you buy a skill book, take it home and let it lie somewhere. (what do you mean I actually have to read it to learn it!?)

Do this constantly.

90% of of the time my posts are about something I actually find interesting and want to learn more about. Do not be alarmed.

You might be an EVE gamer if...

All right so this literally was my thought process today riding my bike to work. I live in Anchorage, Alaska and it's pretty darn cold here right now. I ride my bike to work everyday and I'm starting to get used to the weather - it's that old Scandinavian blood I have, I guess.

I ride the same route everyday. I've seen moose a couple times here, but only away from the city, or in the local park here. Well today I had just left my house and upon passing the first intersection in my neighborhood, I saw a huge bull moose just standing in the intersection one over from me. When he caught my attention he just stopped dead and stared at me, waiting to call my bluff, I assume. Well, I wasn't about to mess with him, so I waved and continued to work.

Aaaaaaaaaanyway... After passing the moose, I began to think about how funny/cool it is that moose are quite frequently seen around commonly human populated areas.

Here is where the EVE relation comes in: I ALSO started thinking that moose in the Anchorage area are pretty safe because all the humans mostly drive out moose predators (grizzly bear and black bear mainly). I thought, "wow these moose have it pretty good in Anchorage; all the shrubs they want and no worries that they'll get ganked." I laughed to myself, realizing that I was equating moose in city being safe from bears to miners or mission runners in high sec being safe from gankers and pirates! Then, I went further and realized that the moose aren't 100% safe because every once and awhile a bear WILL make it into town and kill a moose...but then the police (Concord) will respond instantly to kill it.

And that was my morning bike ride to work.

...if you mentally view walking around downtown as flying in low-sec; you could be ganked at any moment.

You married an Imicus?

*edit*
You might be an Eve player if:
...you've moved beyond multiple spreadsheets and write a web-page to store the information so your friends can access it as well to track their own building projects.
..you see a Smart car and think "pod"
..someone at a jewelry store looks at you odd because you keep calling Jasper "Jaspet"
..the pre-downtime shutdown message is your cue to go to bed.

you might be an EVE gamer, if your left mouse button is nagged by often hitting the "warp to" button 10 times / sec. ;)
