Disable recent update tooltips?

Yesterday, the old sucky not good tooltiip when I hovered over a station in the overview said somethiing like "Emperor Family...".

(I am the most forgetful person ever.)

Today, the improved tooltip says "Station".

(Guess I'm not as forgetful as CCP thinks I am.)

This is an improvement???

For the love of ANYTHING or/and EVERYTHING - Please add a option, to either disable the tool tips, or a slider for delaying the info shown !!!

Yes. These are extremely annoying. Just like there is a 'disable' tutorials checkbox, there should be a 'remove' training wheels checkbox, or use classic interface popups.

Can we please get an option to turn the tooltips on things in space off?

It's great if you have 3 things to worry about, it becomes a giant hindrance when there are 200 things.

The HUGE black box that appears when trying to quickly mouse over spewed cans in relic sites is SLOW as hell to appear and disappear... thus blocking the other cans and making it very difficult to check which type cans are and cutting the number you are able to grab SIGNIFICANTLY.

The HUGE black box blots out the screen and prevents targetting, seeing others alignment and identifying specific things in space.

THIS IS BROKEN!!! REMOVE IT!!!

Please remove and/or add an option to disable the new UI. This is causing problems with trying to view ships on grid and results in fighting the UI. Most of the time I'm all for the HTFU, but not when an update results in fighting the UI to accomplish the same goals as before. Thank you for your efforts CCP, and I'm usually happy/excited with new changes, but not this one. For lack of a better word, this seems too "clunky", despite it being an update.

These changes are pretty much game-breaking for me.

Definitely the old ones were better. Why should it tell me it's a Station when I can already see that? The same applies to ships: I can already see that it's targeting me, I want to know what it's called.

The previous tooltips took up a lot less space on the screen and were easier to read at a glance. The colours of the new ones as well as the skinny font add nothing to legibility.

Okay. I am not a vet of the game, having only joined in January of 2013 so I don't have a lot of "back in the day" attachments that many of the longer-in-the-tooth players have . . . but these tooltips are a CF. The radial menu was already a PITA but this, wow. As many posters before me have already noted, the "usefulness"of the presented information is questionable at best and lacking for the most part. But I spend a lot of time exploring, and I am not going to belabor my issues with loot spew (in part because of you know . . . the summer), but the tooltips really botch this up.

I understand there is an effort to try and get new blood in the game, I am one of those cats. My step-son had been trying to get me into EVE for like 5 years and I just said no no. Then I picked up the game and yes, there is a learning curve, but that made it challenging. But lets say not every new player is willing to take the time and I don't know, use the effing tutorials that are in game and pretty much walk you through everything you know to play reasonably well from the jump, then yes the tooltip explosion may be good for them . . . until they leave a few weeks later.

But please, for the sake of people that actually like to figure things out, or think or simply see whats on their screen, give us the option to disable this UI or at least revert to the earlier version.

P.S. - Oh, and I hate the Scroll Wheel thingy too, disable switch for that too please.

I thought the idea of tooltips was to give more info than is readily apparent. The new system now simply repeats what we already know - and in the case of the Overview, actually tells us LESS than the old system did.

Plus the in-space boxes are massively intrusive and hide things we might want to keep in view - hindering game play and again effectively depriving us of info.

This is absolute lunacy, CCP. Please git rid of it in tomorrow's downtime.
