So, what does one do when on when between Fanfest panels, sometimes during Fanfest panels, and the long flight back from beautiful Iceland back to the United States? Draw, of course! I mostly do scifi and vehicles and such, these were done with a grid notebook on my lap at fanfest or on the plane back to the US (which is interesting if you suddenly hit turbulence.)

most of these I have not named yet or done a writeup for, since I do a lot of ship sketching and stuff like that. may have seen me hanging around somewhere or in a panel audience scribblin away.

The 3/4 perspective is what I usually first sketch most things out in first, til I get around to making other ortho views, guess its the way my brain is wired.

'Castigator' Amarr design HAV, primary turret weapon is a triple barrel high-energy pulse laser cannon:

Amarr Cruiser?

One of my favorites, it came out looking almost like a hybrid between Amarr and Gallente tech

Hope y'all like. like I said, I either did these at Fanfest while killing time, or on the flight back, so they are a little rough.

Neat.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Nice sketches! I hope CCP has another ship design contest, I'm sure community artists have good ideas for redesigns too.

Thankee.

Lol, twas interesting sketching on the flight home,. considering i'm like 6'6" and don't fit well in any airline seating row (maybe except for the very front lol) so I was hunched over with the grid paper pad doin this stuff while listenin to music on the icelandair flight back to Denver (and from there to Tulsa, Oklahoma where I live)

One sketch became a casualty to sudden turbulence, lol.

It would be neat if they did another contest, there's a lot of great talent around, but hopefully they would keep it within the community here on the EVE-O forums. Dunna bout my chances in that kind of thing, lol.

Have to name some of these sketches still.

Don't, keep the volume coming and don't get precious about what you have drawn, focusing on your abilities will benefit you Farr more.
(Thats not backhanded just good advice I was given in the past)

Keep iterating and developing a concept/design if you like it but don't name it and say it's "done", the thing about drawing is , its a process and the picture is a byproduct or evidence of that and not an end.
Trust me on that.
Good Work dude. Keep it up.

And A4 is optimal for on the goo sketches.
