GD thread

Firstly I hold my hands up, I havent been on sisi personally to have a look at this. If this is based on nothing but bs/manip attempt my bad Oops

that said, I noticed yesterday that stocks of strong boosters got wiped out from Jita and Rens. Most were selling in the 25m range.

Much is discussed in the linked thread but this looks more like a job for MD to me!

so where is it going to go? Who knows about booster production - are there materials out there to scale up for a massive increase in use?

Not really analytical, but from my personal experience in PvP point of view i would say higher end booster price would go down as there is no reason to pay as much as we are used to for the strong pills with the reduced bonus. I feel that what has been limiting the booster use for non-regular users is its illegality rather than possibility of side-effect. Unless the legality of boostera change i only foresee drop in demand rather than increase. Having said that though i'm no market expert and all i'm saying is that higer end boosters have just become less attractive for PvPers

Boosters just became reliable and predictable and last twice as long if I am not mistaken. I expect increase in demand. The loss of several percent is a small price to pay

Oh? I was posting based on the info i read some time ago. The thread you linked indeed show effectiveness drop as much less than what i had thought.

ya, key points from thread (as current sisi build stands):

1. reduced effectiveness of boosters however with appropraite skills boosters return to current level.
2. reduced side effects from boosters (possibly no side effects at all!)

I barely have time to log into eve atm let alone sisi so I literally have not been able to check this for myself, also expect further changes cause its a test server!

Putting that to one side that is why I asked the question i did:
can the current setup manage an increased capacity or do you see a scenario where ccp increase the production capabilites of drug plants OR do you expect the usual CCP implementation of putting it in, followed by skyrocket prices followed by increased production capability!?

Confirmed that changes are in crucible.
Also confirmed that no additional changes are being made to supply at this time.

looks like a 'good' bubble Smile

IMO, the more important change would be the smuggling change that was hinted months ago. No side effects is good for the demand side of the product, but the adoption rate, the wide spread use, isn't going to go up much if the stuff can't be distributed more widley.

Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom. It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves.  - William Pitt

1. reduced effectiveness of boosters however with appropraite skills boosters return to current level.
The effectiveness gets decreased by 33% (30% blue pill -> 20% blue pill) and can be increased by 25% with the neurobiology skill to 5 -> 20% -> 25% so this is effectively a decrease by 17%.

2. reduced side effects from boosters (possibly no side effects at all!)
no side effects at all means it is viable to take a booster in every single fight because you do not have to worry about losing the fight in case you get a side effect. I agree that most people don't care about boosters at all, but at least those who do will take them more regularly.

distribution is not a problem. The people who produce drugs do have the knowledge and possibilities to distribute them. The problem is getting the ingredients for the booster. Try producing a x-instinct standard. You will soon see that neither the gas nor the bpc is currently available in jita(apart from 450m fun contracts for the bpc).

These changes to drugs are ********; why dont CCP just buff all ships and decrease spawning rates for asteroids because that would be the exactly same effects these proposed drug changes bring; basically buying better stats for no risk at all w/o having to invest time to train skills to make something ****** mediocrately viable.

edit -

ok wow was not aware of more conservative censorship in forum posting all in the good name of protecting the innocent kiddies; first blurb = uhm how do i say this... mentally challenged reworking with game mechanics items that dumb down the game and lessen EVE's gaming experience by basically adding a small "I win button" removing the intelligence factor to considers risks and consequences for better stats that may save you or frill you in a fire.

CCP lose the censorship; if one could not extract the expanded verbose meaning what is meant by proper use of "swear" words for emphacation of points then they are too dumb to play eve.
