Hi

Maybe this is part of game, I just lost my probes during downtime...should it go like that?

I'm in 0.0 doing some exploration and left my sister core probes out and after the downtime I log in and they are gone. reconnecting to disconnected probes does not work...

Thanks

Not really a bug, you have hopefully learned a valuable lesson in recalling probes then. Same applies to Drones.

Anything not anchored will either disappear after a given amount of time, e.g. wrecks and cans are two hours, or during downtime, whichever is first.

My choice of pronouns is based on your avatar. Even if I know what is behind the avatar.

ok, lesson learned.

Al tough I still think that downtime should not affect these kind of things. I understand that if they run out the power or what ever and they would be lost. But idea that "universe reboots you lost just something!" is a bit stupid and smells like "well we havent have time to fix this." ;)

Basically, if your probes expire and you're still online and in the system, or you leave the system via a gate or wormhole, your probes will automatically be recalled for you (this is a change within the last year). If you log off, disconnect, or are kicked due to downtime, however, the probes remain in space, and if they expire while you're offline, they simply vanish.

This, incidentally, is why I keep 16 probes in my scanning ships. First, it's handy, because as soon as I launch the first 8, it automatically reloads the second 8 for the next system. Second, if I totally derp it for some reason, I've got a spare 8 in the hold to get me back to k-space.
