Advocating for something doesn't make you a shill if that something is worth advocating for.

Not to be pendantic (well...ok...I am), but being a shill has nothing to do with whether a product is any good either.

On point: mine time is about 45sec--with the SSD, which is really AWESOME!! See the link in my signature for how to purchase!

Not to be pedantic, but it's pedantic :D Correct on being shill though!

Takes my i5 about 30 seconds.

There there, those people are weird heretics and they like to "think of the environment" and "have a smaller electricity bill".

They'll be gone in a few generations.

I'm quite sure that using standby over a specific timeframe,
instead of turning the computer off and on again,
actually saves electricity.

Though the full screen video capture does slow things down a tad.

easily under 20 seconds....spent a pretty penny on this beast

Now if i could get eve on linux to run smoothly i could shave another 5 seconds off that time.

Cant people just download straight through CCP anymore and not be forced to go through Steam? I am a bit out of the loops hear since I didn't have to go through any of that in 05 when I began.

I'm interested too. From my understand this used to be an issue, but computers in general require less power to perform the same tasks now, so the difference shouldn't be as extreme.
