Down with the elite and the digital currency which allows them to enslave us!

We demand a tactile currency that we can take from our wallets and put into our cargoholds and then get blowed up!

Make it so that isk can be removed from our wallets and moved about in Coolgame.

A thing need not be necessary for it to be fun.

Make a wallet tax. Say 12% a year... 1% a month.. .03% a day.

No more worries of ISK expansion.

Reason for people to get ISK out of wallet and converted into stuffs that could boom.

don't pretend to speak for all of us.

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

Also I would invite pilots to present any downside to having an actual physical currency although I can't imagine there are any.

I thought the bitcoin/catcoin/MLPcoin and all that other digital currency was being traded by neckbeards and tinfoilers because tactile currency was being used to enslave them. You've got it backwards, hexxploit.

No, bitcoin and other digital currencies are traded because the greenback and other currencies have a crazy inflation rate not because digital is superior. Look at gold and silver. They have been the perfect example of a consistent & trustworthy tactile currency that if anything only goes up in value and has only done so historically.

Gold and silver aren't currency. They're resources which are a cause of inflation in the currencies you mentioned.

They aren't? Funny I thought they were the oldest types of currency on the planet.
At least all the nations on earth who horde & stockpile them seem to think so.
Please explain how they cause inflation so that we can understand.

The oldest currency on the planet are natural goods that you can use for useful things. Getting yourself a necklace is not a useful thing.

Just for the sake of it: Tactile money is hard to transfer in space. And if you use cashless economy, like we already do, why should we waste money on printing or minting tactile money.?

Currency is just a representation of resources. Gold and silver are limited in supply and there is always demand for those resources, so they are subject to the standard principles of supply and demand. When the perceived value of a resource increases, the perceived value of all other resources decreases relative to it. Because it's not practical for people to lower the prices of everything they sell every time the perceived value of a resource increases, the value of currency decreases instead. That is inflation.

Please show me a time in history when gold or silver has undergone inflation. I'll save you the trouble it hasn't ever happened in the history of mankind. In fact nations have tried to put a cap on these currencies because they do tend to go up in value when all other currencies go down(inflation). This is a GOOD thing if you are trading in that particular currency as it means one maintains ones wealth.

Great idea but even those substances you mentioned are not desirable enough. There are places in eve where you can pick them up consistently on market for 50% below their value. This would never happen with gold and silver. A true bill must be a promissory note guaranteeing the owner of a specific value.

There was a significant decrease in the value of gold last year.

That's because they're a scarce resource which is always in demand. I don't see how a nation can put a cap on the perceived value of a resource, that would only increase the effects of inflation.
