Actually thats a bad metaphor because in truth Joe McCarthy was right. The liberals and pansies in hollywood and media hated him and won the war on smearing him, but his assertions were actually bang on that there was an active soviet infiltration of US government (and media) going on.

Now I am not saying Goblin is right, just setting the record straight on McCarthy.

Gevlon's crime is the breach of the adage "Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity."

I don't think Noir's intention as a group were malicious, just Aleks's interpretation and negotiation of the contract was so inept that it simply appeared as such. Aleks, even with 20/20 hindsight doesn't appear to figure out (or perhaps is too proud to admit) that Gevlon's contract was clearly intended to prevent ganks and impede Goon success in BJ3. Wh**ing on CONCORD killmails does not qualify as gank prevention.

I used to be a member on an ultra conservative forums where every other thread (*) was filled with reactionary rants against science, knowledge and education, and common sense had been traded for conspiracy theories. Boy am I glad I'm now on a gaming forum where I don't have to read that McCarty was right or science is all a big hoax (also: Al Gore). Err ...

(*) The other half was naturally filled with xenophobic, racist, sexist and homophobic rants.

Really? Really? He opens up with "The plan would be to NOT be at war with Goons, forming up in Scorpions and Blackbirds and jamming out Goon Taloses and Brutixes when they go GCC, spoiling their ganks."

In what world could that initial demand ever be comatable with "I'll pay you to wh*re in on CONCORD killmails". Remember: Gevlon knows, I know, you know, people in this thread know, Aleks and Noir know that simply shooting at a ship that's being CONCORDed anyway is literally pointless. Why on Earth would Gevlon ever employ them to do such a thing?
