Pretty much all the devs I've grown up with in this game are now gone, and a lot of the new ones seem to leave something to be desired. Maybe that's a hint that I should move on, soon.

Mainly through following people on Twitter etc.

Why? EVE has quiet a close-knit community, even though we enjoy blowing the living hell out of each other we still care about whats going on around us. CCP have quiet a major interaction with their player base, they actually communicate etc unlike most others who don't really seem to care so it does have an effect when someone drops out, even more so if you've met the person at things like Fanfest
