Are Chamelion and Whiptail only alliance tournament reward ships?

Wish I was at fanfest, sitting here its not clear to me.

Bah.

All the out-of-the-box interesting ships are restricted to a few dozen well-connected dudes.

These ships should be possible to earn for us regular folks as well... A complex series of level-5+ missions, like storyline arcs or something...

Yes, ships completely outside the realm of reasonable balance, with 35 effective drones on a single cruiser that also has ECM bonuses, tank bonuses, and a cloak bonus... should definitely be acquirable through farmable means.

I don't recall there ever being a time when ccp considered AT prizes as part of an expansion. They are prizes, we were expecting prizes for fan fest, we are hopefully getting 6 ships available to all players.
